masterngc
If I needed to change the phase of a powered subwoofer and my reciever couldn't do it and my subwoofer couldn't is there another way? Like a module that can plugged in between the subwoofer out on the reciever and the line in on the subwoofer that would add a rotary phase dial? sivadselim
If I needed to change the phase of a powered subwoofer and my reciever couldn't do it and my subwoofer couldn't is there another way? Does your receiver allow you to set a distance setting for your subwoofer?
masterngc
Yes, but the question is rhetorical... This situation isn't happening to me. Im just wondering if such a product exists or if I can make it
WMcD
For what it is worth, Parts Express sells a line level isolation transformer. In theory you could buy one, take apart the wires on the output or input, and wire them backwards. It should result in an inversion of polarity. masterngc
OK, is there anything I can buy, as much as I love using a soldering iron, I really don't have time for this right now lol
DrWho
What's your budget? There are plenty of devices out there that will do phase in addition to other things, but I'm not aware of any unit available commercially that does only phase. If you really wanted a dedicated unit, I wouldn't mind charging you to build one []
masterngc
Just phase, so if you know a cheap unit that will do the job with as little frills as possible, that would be cool! Edit: Can I pay you in W-Bins? j/k lol
michael hurd
You can change the phase 0 -180 by swapping the leads on the driver. More than that would require a device inline. I think the Paradigm X-30 has phase control on it, but don't quote me on that one. I do not own one.
TheEAR
Yes the Paradigm X-30 has phase control.
SWL
I had the Paradigm X-30. Gave it to my friend and he loves it for tweaking his subs. He uses it in addition to a BFD.
