Allan Songer
I'll bet I have 500 hours on my DL-103 and it still sounds fantastic. Not sure of the life expectancy of these cartridges, but I would imagine its starting to run its course. Mike You're about a third of the way there. Your cartridge will probably be running strong at 1000 hours but by 1500 you will probably need a retip. I have run cartridges over 2000 hours with no problems. When the time comes for a re-tip you might want to consider these folks. Lots of Denon users over at the Asylum think the DL-103 is actually much IMPROVED by their work:\ http://www.sound-smith.com/retip/
Mike Lindsey
Thanks for the info, Allan! That's good to know about the cartridge, as well as the people that do the re-tips. I just bookmarked them. Mike
