Bonzo
I just picked up a great pair of Forte I's. They are from 1988 with the oak finish. Naturally the dust covers on the radiators are pushed in. I know, I know, it doesn't affect the sound but I sure wish people would be more careful! Everything else works great. Original diaphragms that have no issues. A very minor crunch on one back edge. Cabinets should clean up very nicely. Consecutive serial numbers also so the wood grain matches very well. It will be nice to have some Klipsch back in the living room. I have experimented with a boat load of other speakers but always come back to those damn horns! Anyone want a nice pair of PSB Stratus Silver i's, gloss black??? jbsl
I use mine with my La Scalas to fill out the lower bass. They are great speakers enjoy!!
Bonzo
I paid $450 for them which may have been a bit much but they were 5 minutes away from my in-laws house and in excellent condition. I plan to live with them as is for a bit then likely upgrade the caps, spike them and use a finish restorer on the cabinets. I have a friend who may want to trade my Silver i's for an Aragon 200 watt amp. I'm sure it would wake up the woofers in the Forte's!
