Jerry22m
Looking to upgrade from the RF3s have been told the RF7 are power hungry beasts so don,t want to go that route. Your opinion sincerely appreciated. Thanks Jerry
PhilMays
Wait and save for the RF-7's. I went from RF-3II's to RF-7's with a 100 watt Onkyo amp in the begining. The differences wasn't even close and I love the RF3II's!
Catharsis147
What Phil said.............. The RF-7's are a better speaker, regardless of amplification in my opinion. I drive them with an inexpensive amp and they are simply sweet sounding. They would sound MUCH better with more power, but they are still a substantial upgrade from say, the RB-35's that I also own. I hear the RF-5's are also great speakers too, but if given the choice, I would go RF-7's and upgrade the amps at some pint in the future if you did not hear a major difference. Still, I think you will anyway....
