  1. Looking to upgrade from the RF3s have been told the RF7 are power hungry beasts so don,t want to go that route. Your opinion sincerely appreciated. Thanks Jerry
  2. Recently purchased the OPPO DV-981HD possibility the best buy on the planet at $229 will upconvert to 1080p via HDMI and do it very well. The 981hd does not provide upconverting via component cable.

  8. Auditioned all three at home Denon 3806 Audyssey, Yamaha RX-v2700 YPAO and Pioneer VSX-84TXSi went with the Pioneer. In order of preference to my ears at least was MCACC YPAO AUDYSSEY

  10. Thanks for the input, I went with a product called Natures Miracle, which can be picked up in a pet store, had the grills cleaned in 10 minutes no problem no discoloration, looks factory fresh.

  12. Dealer first gave me $800 when I told him I could get it anywhere cheaper than that he came down to $675 plus tax. Is that about right or is there still room to deal. Thanks.
  13. Currently using RC35 along with RB5 surrounds, will upgrade center if necesary in the future. Guess bottom line does performance justify cost. Or would going to a RC7 now and upgrading mains in the future be a more logical approach. Early reply sincerely appreciated. Thanks.
  14. Thanks for all the great input, I found an out of town authorized B&M dealer that gave me a very good price on a new factory sealed RC35, might add it matches well with the RF3's. Great speakers, greater forum. Thanks again.

  21. You might like to take a look at www.classic-audio.com under tips and tricks scroll down to "those pesky speaker protection circuits" and see if this might be the problem. I have a Marantz 2275 still hard to beat. Good luck. ------------------ Jerry
  22. Craig With all due respect I think you would be crazy to think you could improve on the C7. The C7 was made to blend perfectly with the Legend Series what you suggest IMO would be a serious dowmgrade. GOOD LUCK. ------------------ Jerry
