Klipsch Date Codes

Recommended Posts

Consulting has been good this past year, so I am living my dream and have purchased several Heritage Klipsch speakers. The oldest is a perfect pair of 1971 Heresy speakers signed by PWK with clear plastic badges and accompanied by a Thank You Letter from Anna Belle.

Q: Where can I buy a book, or some other document that will explain the Klipsch assigned date codes via serial number? I'd like to determine the manufactured date for each. How do I break down the serial number date code?

Best Regards,

I don't know what I am being directed to do or say here, a bit strange, simply wanted to find manufacturing date for my rf7ii's but if you don't want to assist me please let me know so I can start looking elsewhere.

Should be the first two digits of the serial number.

Anybody know how to figure out th s/n of the klipsch rf7ii speakers 101184110340030 thanks

@memyselfandi I believe it's the same as the RF-7 IIIs, the first 7 digits are the colour part no., Black Ash or Cherry, the following 2 digits are the Year 2010, next 2 digits are the Week 34 & the last 4 digits are the production "batch" code, there would be a preceding 0029 & succeeding 0031, anyway it looks to have been built between August 23rd-29th in 2010 :)
