theplummer
Can I connect these speakers to either a 120 or 220 outlet?I hope your not going to do what It sounds like your about to do. please ask a more detailed question.
bhenry
You could most certainly TRY to connect these to 220V, however if you value your life (and the equipment you paid good money for), I would strongly recommend against it. Where in the h-e-double hockeysticks are you going to find a convenient 220V receptacle to plug these into? Besides, the plug won't fit a 220V receptacle anyways. Good luck and I hope your fire insurance is paid-up.
Canadian_Dude
I believe in the UK or Britain or somewhere in Europe 220v is standard for homes.
theplummer
My take on the question asked is, can I plug the "speakers" into 110 or 220. sounds to me like he wants to wire the speakers directly to AC power, not to the amp.
vezok
I haven't bought the speakers yet, but that is what I wanted to know. Some power adapters have the ability to change from 110 to 220V, the label actually says the input is from 110 up to 240, or something like that. I want to know if the speakers can be used in places like UK, where 220V is standard. Thks.
Jay481985
the quintets II are not powered speakers, they need an amp or reciever in which if you need 220 v you need to make sure it was made for 220 volt power. But other than that the amp or reciever should send the correct power.
