ken6432
Did I hear Trey correctly at this year's Pilgrimage (which was great by the way) that Klipsch has an upgrade kit to take an older Heresey speaker up to a Heresey III? If so, where can I find more info on this? What components are included, what is the cost, etc? Ken

Daddy Dee
This upgrade is something of an inherently expensive solution because the HIII has new elements for every driver. I think the cab and mid horn would be the only remaining original parts remaining after the upgrade. The kit would include the tweeter and assembly, the mid driver, network and K-28 woofer and assorted screws. The price per speaker is $638. The net cost could be offset by sale of the old HII parts, but I'm not sure what that would amount to. Of course, if upgrading one could simply sell the original speakers whole or by parts and use the proceeds toward the purchase of new HIII's. The HIII woofer, the K-28 is $108 or $109 or so. The HIII network is a most impressive and complex looking affair.
Deang
Might as well buy a new set of Heresy III's. You can probably get a pair for the less than an upgrade kit!

Excellent Point.............................A man after my own heart.............Sell the H2's to lower your investment in HIII's..........
