montigue
I'm looking at amp's to power my SVS 20-39. I have one in paticular called American DJ (pro audio gear $200)that has these spec's.... 150W x 2 @ 4 ohms bridgable to 300w @ 8 ohms My question is why do the ohms change after bridging? Im thinking about buying this amp because of its bridgable capablities is this a good amp for the SVS 20-39? Montigue
h2xmark
i would e mail tom v. at SVS and ask him ,i think his subs or 4ohm subs{i might be wrong on this} if they are your amp might run hot or shut off if it is not stable down that low when bridged
TheEAR
Very correct, when bridged amps work harder. Most cant drive 4 Ohms loads well when bridged. I could be wrong about this amp.Still its not a Krell(can drive a heating element and I can weld military armor with it! LOL). I think the power supply is not potent and the output stage may run very hot.Check this with TV TheEAR(s) Now theears
