I use to have 2 paradigm pw2200's in one corner, but now I have four of them all double stacked in the same corner, and yes the more the better
-
Merry Christmas all, and a happy new year!!!
-
hey Ear, where is the DB measurement at? at the speaker? are at 1 meter distance, 126 DB sounds big for one B15, I would like to know the DB readings for the B4 at 1 meter and 3 meters, any idea?
-
wow cool sub, bet you will have all the bass you need real soon
-
try setting your mains to large, this will take some of the bass from the B4 and give it to the mains and maybe take out some of the boominess from the B4,
-
if you shop you can find a sell on paradigm, i picked up one of my 4 subs for only 599.95 in Houston new in the box, its a paradigm pw2200, it is a good sub but look at other brands also
-
I would buy another rsw15 and stack the two in a corner, run a rca Y cable to both subs. I always like my subs to be the same make and model, less trouble that way
-
I know on my setup i wanted all to match, and when I found out Paradigm came out with the new version2 I had to add my 4th sub I would like to try 2 are 3 of the rsw15's in house, if I like them I just might buy them!!!!

Yamaha /Klipsch owners, are the front effect channels worth doing?
h2xmark replied to Pistol Pete's topic in Home Theater
I have wondered about the same as I have a rxv1 yamaha, but I have not hooked up any speakers to the front effects , any more input? -
good question but I dont have an answer for you, but i bet someone will, Mark
-
thats good to hear, i have heard of totem, but did not know how they stack up
-
ok now that makes sense, just in case
-
CO1, no they are the improved version 1 >they added a power LED and a couple other improvements< 4 of the new version pw2200's would be to much for me, the 4 I have now are really to much[ at least for me> I dont know how some of you can listen to so much bass
-
thanks for the reply ear, here is a photo of my 4 pw2200's for me i think I have finally got most of the bass I want, < sorry about the poor photo> so what do you think? Mark
-
hey ear, whats up have not been on the board in a while, I have added another pw2200 and i know its not the best sub by far, but what did you think about the one you had??
-
I would be in also, I am looking for some more bass, < my neighbor's don't> all my speakers are Klipsch< except the subs> so I would like to have some big klipsch subs to go with my 4 KLF20's,
-
I think that with the main speakers you have you will need more sub than you might think, I would get a rsw12 or a 15, you can always turn it down!
-
well guys if you buy the new sound&vision 2003 buyers guide there are some test reports from tom nousaine. He tested a pw2200 and a rsw15, well the rsw15 blew away the pw2200, not even close, one of his quotes are "one of the best measuring subwoofers we've seen" and we are talking a single sub here not a dual setup like a svs, I have dual Paradigm pw2200, i really like the sound of these subs, but I wish I would have bought the rsw15, Mark
-
I may need to get a new Sub to replace my SVS 20-39CSi
h2xmark replied to Mike Lindsey's topic in Home Theater
one sub you left off you might look at is the Earthquake Super Nova Millennium 15, this is the newest model they have out and will dust almost all the subs you listed, you might be able to get one for 1500 to 1700 dollars, they are very loud also and play LOW -
you can Y off the mono sub output connector, you can Y off of this and add three or four subs or more, you might loose a couple of db gain but you have an adjustable gain on your sub{volume } also some of receivers have a sub split out, it is two connectors for left and right, you can have stereo subs, there are many ways to hook up your system play around with it and see what sounds the best Mark

I don't think you could go wrong with either choice there, both would perform well!

That Bob is an Ok guy, I love Klipsch{4- klf20's and 2- klf-c7 } like this board as well, T.V. has always been a stand up guy also{Tom I am a different Mark, but have chated with you before about music issues} lets just make it work, it is a great place for all, thanks. Hey Ear you guys got me wondering so I went and checked the backs of all 6 of my Klipsch speakers, the stickers were all straight and in the same corner, they must of been in a hurry when they made your sub, the boss" you can't leave till you finish your pudding i meant speaker" LOL This message has been edited by h2xmark on 09-08-2002 at 09:07 PM
