The latest issue of Rolling Stone is great. It's their 40th anniversary edition and it basically covers the music scene in 1967. Articles about San Francisco, LA, Memphis, New York, London, and Monterey Pop. First person recollections from Bob Weir, Graham Nash, Steve Cropper and more. Very interesting article on Owsley Stanley the LSD supplier to the SF scene as well as the Deads sound guy. The whole magazine brought back a lot of memories. Well worth the $6.95

Wasn't the summer of 1967 called "The Summer of Love"? I was a little too young to partake in the activities back then, but, I do remember an almost surreal atmosphere. Starting in 1970 things became a bit of a blur for me. I remember uninhibited relationships and many, many experiments in altered consciousness. As Johnny Winter would say, " sometimes it's kind of hard to tell, but, I'm still alive and well."

I think I'll pick up a copy of that Rolling Stone issue.

I just happened to renew my subscription to Rolling Stone after a good 5 or 6 year absence...........That was the Fisrt copy I received, some great stories, and even better photo's........perfect way to start reading Rolling Stone again, let's see how long before it becomes boring, and full of Hollywood again..................Great way to start though............
