ka7niq
The K-63-KN is in my Klipsch CF 3's. Where can I find out some more info about it, like aftermarket diapraghms, impedance, freq responce, etc. Was it used in any other Klipsch speakers besides the Epic series ? Was it a Kli[psch made driver, or an Atlas, Radian, etc, etc.
STL
The K-63-KN was used in the CF-3 as well as the CF-4. I do see the CF-2 and KV-4 used a K-64-KN. Both the 63 and 64 use a 2" aluminum diaphragm. What are you ultimately after -- meaning why do seek this info? If people knew that, they might be able to help in ways you haven't forseen. Well, people screw Altec drivers on their Klipschorns and Cornwalls, and someday I might want to try anothwer compression driver. Therefore, I must know all things about the one in there. I do know the driver is from Klipsch's Pro Line, but that is about it. The k 64 driver uses a phenolic diapraghm, wonder if the diapraghm interchanges with K 63 ? My old Fraziers had phenolic diapraghm, very smooth.
STL
According to the following links, the 64 uses an aluminum diaphragm (but it wouldn't be the first time they've listed some incorrect info on the out-of-production models): http://www.klipsch.com/products/discontinued/details/cf-2.aspx http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/kv-4.aspx
ka7niq
Yeah, it is the K 90 from the CF 1 that uses a phenolic diapragm. I have the K 63 in my CF 3's, wonder what the K 64 is, and how it differs ?
