Kain
My room is only about 14 feet by 14 feet. Do you think it is worth it? Will an Ultra be enough? ------------------ Home Theater: Display: Sony VPL-VW11HT LCD Projector Receiver: Denon AVC-A11SR (230V version of Denon AVR-4802) DVD Player: Sony DVP-S9000ES Center: Klipsch RC-7 Mains: Klipsch RF-7s Surrounds: Klipsch RS-7s Subwoofer: SVS CS-Ultra w/Samson S1000 amplifier
TheEAR
One Ultra should be plenty if you dont need concrete crunching power and dont listen at over 115dB. I tried two and used all the power these mean oil barrels could handle.I tested these in a 10*14 room! Then I could keep up with the RF-7's even at inhuman levels. The SVS SS looks like it will still give you 3-6dB more output! But you pay DOUBLE.Is it worth it? YES to me it is. I know only one Ultra will not satisfy my sub bass craze.I need at least two in my smaller room and four in the large one. With at least 500W RMS of amp power for each Ultra on tap. forresthump
KAIN I say this with all helping hands. You need to move and just get a start instead of just talking about it. You have to talk to guys like Earwax instead of Listening to a good Sound system. Just do it LOL ------------------ go forth & hump the world

So, is asking which subwoofer to get that bad?? ------------------ Home Theater: Display: Sony VPL-VW11HT LCD Projector Receiver: Denon AVC-A11SR (230V version of Denon AVR-4802) DVD Player: Sony DVP-S9000ES Center: Klipsch RC-7 Mains: Klipsch RF-7s Surrounds: Klipsch RS-7s Subwoofer: SVS CS-Ultra w/Samson S1000 amplifier
TheEAR
Kain, Just ignore ForrestGump,he manages to insert both his toes in his mouth and stil manage to post. The Ultra has planty of output for even a larger room, the SVS SS is a couple od dB's more output and you pay a good deal for the high quality finish. To me finish is very important,if you want to show your sub(s) and dont want black covered barrels then the SS is a great upgrade. RWMIN
One Ultra should do justice with that system. If cost wasn't a concern then I would go for the SS just because it's the best of the SVS line and it should look and perform as such.
