Start it at 80 and then try 60 then 40. Pick the one that sounds best. A lot of people use 80. With the capabilities of those I'd think 60 would give you the most seamless transition. But you'll have to determine what sounds best. The more you let your sub do the less work your amp or receiver has to do.

Yeah I had an issue with that when I got my system. My best advice would be to play around with the settings. There are really no hard and fast rules.

If you really want some good info go look around the avs forum there is a lot of good info there. (also more than a few jerks who tell you how everything your doing is wrong)
