One other thought on the Panasonic Plasmas. The TC-P60U50 is around $999 it is the same as the Ut50 except for no 3d or Apps for it. If Light is not an issue then You will find no better bang for your buck.

Yeah the alarm is completely cell phone based. We did get a new panasonic plasma this week. What an incredible upgrade from our Mitsubishi.

I'll attest to the quality of Panasonics picture. I just bought the TC-p60UT50 and the Picture is unreal. Supposedly all of the 2012 pannys have the same screen just different features. If you step up to the st50 and above there is an added filter that helps with ambient light reflection. In my room it was not an issue. The picture is just mind blowing.

I love my Yamaha HTR 6090. I would keep that if it were me.

The tablet only had a system that when connected to the internet it will become a boat anchor. It is not traceable. No GPS capability. We had backed up all of our pictures. They were on the portable hard drive that we had stolen as well. So we will start backing up where it is all online. We did find quite a few still on the cards in the cameras. We had almost all of the serial #s so we are good for the Insurance. I think the little bastards vandalized the crap just because they thought it funny. They broke my dresser drawers as well. Neither was anything grand but it was mine. I have an apt for a security company to come set us up and I will be installing cameras in the back. Front I'm not so worried about. Too visible. All in all we are lucky we had replacement insurance and no one was hurt. Thanks for all of your kind words. You guys are great.

Yeah I have a dog. She is quite loud as a matter of fact. She was hiding in the corner of the yard when my wife got home. I am hoping that in the future an alarm will make them not want to be noticed and leave. I live in Topeka and there is not a lot happening here. So if a call comes in to the police I'm betting they are quick to answer. I know I called once because the house next door was being broken into to ( I thought) No less than ten uniformed officers answered the call. I felt bad when I found out it was my new neighbors.

First, my Klipsch are fine, they did not take them. Probably didn't want to pick the heavy bastards up and carry them. But the @$$holes got My 57 inch Mitsubishi a 50" Samsung, a 27 inch Vizio, LG Blu Ray, Ipod dock and Ipod, My Dell Computer, My wifes Tablet And a Sony Dig Camera. Then just for fun they vandalized the dressers in my bedroom and slashed my mattress. All told about 6 grand to replace it all. I am just pissed. We will have a security system in place by weekend. I did have replacement insurance so my deductible is all it will cost but we have lost most of our pictures of our Kids and they cannot be replaced. My wife is a little upset about that(to say the least). I have a suspicion about who did it, but I can't prove it nor can I do anything other than be more vigilant and protect myself and my family as well as possible. That was all I just wanted to vent a little.

Romeo E Julietta Vintage IV has to be my personal favorite. The Churchill is nice as well. Currently the favorite beverage is Blantons Bourbon whiskey with just a touch of water.

Yeah I have both Fortes and Forte IIs and they are just great sounding speakers. I am still occaionally surprised at the quality of the sound on these speakers. They will get nice and deep too for the Special effects on films.

. Did not want to make it sound like a bad thing, but to the people who are older than you it's a full time job. That's why old worn out people do not have kids, they can't handle the work required. It's a great thing, I am glad for you, I think if you never have kids you miss out on one of the most rewarding things you can do. But being the smart@ss I am when people tell me there expecting I usually say.......Wow, sorry to hear that,........ you should see there face, especially if this is there first child, they have no clue, if they have kids they usually laugh. Enjoy it while your young. Funny thing is I am going to be 42 in a few months. The one little girl is a full time job. ;-}

I love my android phone. I have the Samsung moment for Sprint. To be clear the Iphone is the best selling cell phone ever. Still sells more than any other but it is losing ground while the androids are gaining. I would hold off for a month or two because the new Iphone is coming and so is the new android phones. The HTC Incredible will hit soon.

Are you looking for Home Theater or two channel for music? A lot of different options out there depending on your wants. For Home theater I like my Yamaha 7.1 channel For two channel I bought a 2 channel Sherwood receiver from Radio Shack for $50.00 last christmas. They both sound great but the Yamaha has a whole lot of options the sherwood does not. These are not necessary for a 2 channel system. For speakers you can buy used or new and Klipsch has tons of different options. AVSforum is a good source of info but you'll be reading for a long time. This is also a great place for info. Take a lot of what you will see on the forums with a grain of salt as there are people who wouldn't have a system less than 10,000 bucks and there are people who think anything over 2,000 is a complete ripoff. You also will need to decide if you will have a sub or not. With the right speakers you can live without it, but they do add something to the HT experience. Have fun. My suggestion for most newbies(don't take that as an offense) get used and spend very little money to start. Then as you develop your taste expand on it with upgraded equipment. You can get a decent receiver for $100.00 and a set of Klipsch Fortes or Heresys or similar for $250-$450.00 depending on condition and model. Then after you have set a specific goal you can sell your used equipment for what you have spent on it if you have not overpaid. Have fun. Welcome to the forum.

I cannot recommend any brands, but I do know that european chocolate has a completely different taste than Americans are used to. My brother had a foreign exchange student and she sends chocolate to the family at christmas and it is very very good.
