I think it was recorded in 1999 in Detroit but not sure..anyway..powerful surround mix here but oddly enough even though it says dts surround capable I didnt here anything coming from the center channel..I have seen this before on other dvd concerts that I have that are dts 4.0 or 4.1 like the Barry Manilow one I have but this Peter Frampton says in dts 5.1....oh well maybe a mistake there..I did not try to see if there was any center channel in regular dolby digital mode to compare..but the sound is powerful and very live sounding..bass is solid and powerful! Peter frampton really can play that guitar too and his voice is still excellent after all these years! overall a very very good sounding live concert on dvd as I expected it would be....I will give it A B+ for sound quality...it also has 16x9 widescreen picture and the video quality is excellent overall as most of the concerts i have on dvd are!! enjoy!

A "must have" for ol' rockers! Hope I'm not dating myself, LOL.

The 5.1 DTS format was well mixed: Music was in the front; Crowd and reflections were all around. Felt like I was in Detroit!

You're right on about the 4.1. I got no sound through the front channel. No biggy though. I prefer music through my Heresey IIs, but maybe a dual Hereseys for a center channel...yummmm!!!
