bigdaddy
Topeka Kansas. About an hour away I'd guess, maybe more depending on how many stop lights there are. Some of those smaller state hwy can be a drag.
twistedcrankcammer
bigdaddy, I go out to my sisters every Thanksgiving. If you want to make the trip, you could come out arround that time and hear my old Quartets playing on my old Nakamichi TA-4A reciever. It still sounds pretty good when the trains aren't running through her front yard, :-D Roger
SET12
I found a few posts actually with info on the Titanium Diaphram for the Forte. I'll call and find out about them. Also I'm going to look at the Crossover upgrades. I don't know if I'll do them myself or have them built for me. I can solder and all that, but I have no idea at all what the caps do or any of the other parts on the crossovers. One of those posts might be mine! As I have the Titaniums installed on my Forte's as well as Bob's upgraded Autotransformers with very high quality caps and Inductors on an outboard network one might call it extreme. You might think of it as a Super Forte even! I can tell you that mine are as smooth as silk and one of the finest speakers I have ever enjoyed especially with these kind of mods its nothing short of extraordinary! Heres a link to my thread. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=159340 I have a schematic of the Forte posted on it as well! Also see this site for cap sound quality http://www.humblehomemadehifi.com/Cap.html Enjoy your Fortes SET12
