Grill packing or something more??

Recommended Posts

Just got a set of RCW-5 (fronts) and RCR-5 (rear ceilings) and really enjoy them. Included in each kit was some thin white foam material that looks sized to fit into the grill for each speaker.

I checked the manual and no mention of it in there. Diagram doesn't show it (not even as optional if it is) so I am not sure if I was/am supposed to put it in or toss it. Is this stuff packing material or is it supposed to go behind the grill?

Don't worry. It's just packing material. The least amount of material(s) between your ear and the drivers (HF anyway) the better. But that's another can of worms.
