Islander
Have you seen the movie? The reviews are pretty good. For that matter, did you see Rolling Stones at the Max back in the early '90s? That was excellent.
oldbuckster
Had all Rolling Stones concerts on VHS, long gone, but they couldn't touch Four Flicks, and Bigger Bang on DVD ........... Shine a Light will be awesome, I just know it, the CD's are good ................ I see you can pre-order Blu-Ray too .......
Islander
Rolling Stones at the Max at an IMAX theater will make you wonder why you'd ever want to go to an actual concert again, since the view and the sound is much better. It came out in 1991, but the local IMAX theater ran it for six weeks in December and January 2 or 3 years back and it was sold out nearly every night. colterphoto1
I saw the movie at IMAX, it's a good show with fantastic filmaking. Although the IMAX sound system was a bit anemic for me (what can I say, my Klipsch system puts it to shame). Those super-wide cameras are right on stage- makes you feel like Mick or Keith is running right at you. It's amazing and although the band is a bit geriatric, they're still great entertainers.
