If you can't find an Academy, then the next best thing that most people seem to like, or at least be able to live with, is either a KLF-C7 (not too common) or a KG 2.2v (more common). I haven't heard many say they were happy with the KV series as center for Fortes. I used a KG 2.2v as center for a while and got quite enjoyable multichannel sound without hearing unbalanced sound or distracting differences from the center.
