philvmax14
I have a pair of 1978 Cornwalls. I just purchased them a few weeks ago. God I love those things! Anyhow, they are now my main speakers in my home theater and they are overshadowing my Bose center channel. Can anyone recommend a Klipsch center channel speaker that will compliment and keep up with the Cornwalls? One other question, Where can I get a pair of the Crites crossover, my new cornwalls are from 1978. Thank you.
Arky
Welcome to the forum Phil. Another cornwall would be your best bet. Many use a heresy. I use a heresy II & like it very much. Send BEC a pm concerning crossover advice.

mr_eric_s
You can contact Bob Crites to order parts or brand spanking new crossovers from his website: http://critesspeakers.com Highly recommended, I just finished recapping a pair of Cornwalls from 1979. Great for bringing the tweeters and mids back to life!
bhendrix
Hi Phil, Welcome to the forum. The smallest option to compliment your Cornwalls (at least smaller than another Cornwall or Heresy if you don't have room) that I have used in the past with Cornwalls is the Academy. I have two for sale, but at least one may be sold. Link to pics is here: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/107779.aspx
oldbuckster
You want to wake up your Cornwalls, BEC is da' Man ............ put in a pair of his B-3 Crossovers, wow, .......... then added CT-125's, double wow .... money well spent, and Mr. Crites is easy to deal with ............ Makes Great speakers sound Greater !!!!!!!!!!
HarryO
The Heresy will be your best match for sound and will fit your size requirements. Harry
yogi
here is another option that works very well: apogee centaurus ribbon lcr. it has 2 x 6 1/2 " woofers and a ribbon tweeter in the center. you can turn the ribbon driver into vertical position for center speaker use. dimensions are 24"hx11.5"dx9.5"w. not sure if they still make this speaker, but if you can find it i'm sure you would love it (i do! ) yogi
