russ69
It's NOT an Infinity Black Widow but it's similar. It almost looks homemade, or very low production. Thanx, Russ
LarryC
Mayware Formula 4? I've seen and handled one in the past, possibly even owned one some decades ago. Anyway, I recall the unipivot design but have no recollection of the quality. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=141071 I found it by Googling unipivot tone arms. d00n
thank you. I have a chance to buy it for $150. Not sure if I should jump on it or not.

CaptnBob
I had a similar unipivot in the late seventies, when they were the "cat's meow." It had 4 mercury (!) baths for four pins on top of the arm to rest in and carry the signal from the cartridge to the base of the arm. The idea was that the mercury would help damp the arm and at the same time eliminate any problems caused by the wires twisting. People were a little vague about chemical hazards in those days... Timmikid
IMHO I wouldn't go there. I've messed with vintage arms and you need a lot of patience, knowledge and experience, I lack all. [:$] There are certainly great vintage arms around, but I would go for a SME. Different pricerange, but easier. I still have my 3012, but have a new 312 in my main rig now. One of the unipivots I did like was the VPI, but adjusting it with the cable? Not for me. I want to dial it down perfectly and not have to mess with it again for at least 6 months, preferably a year. New arms are cheaper now and easier and better to adjust. As I said, with my patience and capabilities. Greets, Tim.
Audio Flynn
I would pass and spend a little more on a used Rega.
