RockOn4Klipsch
I was wondering what users had for thoughts on regards to rotel and adcom powering their reference series speakers. In particular I'm looking at the Rotel RB 1080 and the Adcom GFA-5500. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
CECAA850
I haven't heard that combo. I've got a Carver amp and preamp on my RF-5's. The Carver and RF-5 combination is outstanding. Plenty of punch when needed and not a hint of harshness.
kevinmi
I was running my RF5's with a Pioneer Elite receiver rated at 80 wpc, which sounded great. I then hooked them up to a McIntosh 2125 amp that I had purchased for my Khorns just to see. What a difference! The reference series certainly thrives on a little extra power! I guess my point is that a more powerful amp will really bring the RF5's to life.
