ScubaDude
Yesterday I ordered an RC-64 in cherry from Crutchfield. Today I got a call from their customer service and the guy told me that Klipsch had discontinued them. He didn't have any info on the RC-64 in black or the rest of the Reference line. Knowing that CS reps often don't have the correct info, I searched the "announcements" forum here and didn't see anything official about it. Anybody have an inside scoop? Moderators Youthman Posted November 28, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 28, 2008 Sup scuba dude! Welcome to the forum. I hope the RC-64 isn't discontinued. Eventually, I would like to sell my RC-7 and get the RC-64 to match my RF-83's. Amy...any truth to this info or was the Crutchfield rep misinformed? tommyboy
First off, welcome to the forum! One sure fire way to find out is to call Klipsch directly. The number's on the website...........
Bill H.
SD, As some one else stated. It will be posted on the web site if so. I don't think so, just bad info from the sales clerks.......... Here is one from One Call in cherry. Call them, and they may even discount it for you. http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=30892
RockOn4Klipsch
welecome..... I doubt it,the RC 64 is still too new, if it get's discontinued I'd imagine that whole line would be on it's way out ie RF 83 RF 63, RC 64, RS 62 and the likes. All are still very new and I doubt they'll go any where for a couple more years just my opionin.
ScubaDude
I called World Wide Stereo and they said that they haven't heard anything about them being discontiued, and they have plenty in stock, so I bought one from them (and will be buying the RF-83s soon). Having worked in CS for a short stint, I know that they often have bad/no information.
