  1. Good evening, What a great day to be a Klipsch owner! My ears are not worthy of what i heard today. I can't really describe into words the sound I experienced, it is absolutely breathtaking. I heard things in my music I never heard before. Still waiting on the second sub, but the RSW-12 held its own. Next week the McIntosh gear will arrive, and I can't hardly wait for those. I'll post pics and more of a critique later. Great job to all at Klipsch for developing such a work of art and sound! Worth every red cent, IMHO. More later. Shine On!..............Scott

one more day to wait. Schedualing problems with work, so Wednesday is the day I'll report late that day.
  3. Not sure about your center, why don't you put the center on top of the rack like you had it and the TV on top of the speaker? I did that with a rf-7 and a 40" Sony and it worked well. Just a thought
  4. sounds to me like a 60Hz ground loop problem. Could be a faulty cable or a component going bad or a poor ground somewhere. Just a thought, but annoying non the less and difficult to diagnose. Good luck!

    Palladium

Well next tuesday will be install day for the Pallladium lineup. 2 p39f's, 1 p27c, 4 p17b and 2 p312w. I went to CEDIA in Denver and splurged for some McIntosh gear to drive everything. I ordered 3 mc501's for the fronts and 2 mc252's for the bookshelves and a mx136 to manage it all. The MAC gear will be a few weeks, but needless to say I'm pumped for the audio experience I've always dreamed off. I'll post pics of the speakers next week and the final install when ever that happens. I'm guessing 2-3 weeks. I'll certainly post pics and reviews as time permits. Shine On!..............Scott
  6. The way my VPI works is; place record on plater apply small amount of cleaner tun on high torque motor use brush and some elbow grease to clean record 3-4 revolutions, remove brush and begin vaccum In oder to get deep into the groove i apply alot of pressure to clean deep. I don't think a TT motor would do the trick. You'll get some benefit but not a real deep clean. The high price of the VPI is all in the motor and vaccum. I got a bundle deal from music direct in Chicago. You might want to give them a call and chat with a sales guy about record cleaner. It was enlightening for me, as I used to use the old discwasher system which, as I learned, does more harm than good. Hope this helps you. Scott
  7. You'll aslo need a motor with alot of tourque, as when you apply cleaner and the brush requires alot of force to get all the dirt, and then a very powerful vacum to get the record completly dry. At least thats how the VPI I have works.
  8. Thanks! This is somewat helpful. I guess when I get more serious about it, like anything else, I'll learn more. Thanks for the feedback. Scott
  9. Greetings, I found some interest in this thread, as I don't own a BR, but I'm looking. My concern has been the audio formats. Does ones receiver, pre-amp/processor need to have the ability to decode the new formats, or does the BR player do all the decoding and pass it to the receiver,pre/processor through the anolog in/outs? I've looked at alot of high end processors and none of them decode the new audio formats. Can someone who has a BR and is able to use and decode all the audio formats, shed some insight for me? Thanks...........Scott
  10. Bill, The bug is biting hard. I think that is good advice to wait a while. It'll be a little bit before I even have them all set up. I love my crestron now. No reason it shouldn't do the job well. I'll get 50-100 hours on them before switching gears. Thanks for settling me down.
  11. Gtcha Damon. Looking for that "quiet", myself.
  12. The power in the Crestron is plenty. It's a great amp! Just after having made such a large purchase I want to get the most from them. I'll try the Crestron at first and speak to the MAC and CLASSE" guys in Denver and maybe a few others, and go from there. Thanks to all. Scott
  13. Thanks for the reply. I'm going to CEDIA in Denver in a few weeks. I'll do some digging there.
  14. Greetings, I know this is a 2 channel forum, but it was suggested to me that I post here. I ordered the Palladium line for my new set up (p-39f, the center and 4 bookshelf and 2 subs) and I just got a call that some have arrived. Still waiting on the mains and a pair of bookshelf and the second sub. My concern is the power I currently use is a Crestron 200x7. It's a nice piece, but I'm thinking I should upgrade to match the Palladiums better. I'm leaning towards MAC, but wanted to get some feedback or suggestions on how I can get the most out of my new setup. If $ were no object, what home theater processor and power supplies would you guys use? Don't want to tri-amp but will bridge the mains if thats the way to go. Direction please?!?!?!?!? Thanks.......Scott

Greetings Everyone, I'm so excited I can't even type. I just got a call from my audio guys telling me that some of my Palladiums just arrived. The mains and another pair of bookshelfs and another substill to come. I wont hook these up until all have arived. Additionally, I'm waiting on new carpet to be installed before installation. Could be a few more weeks before my first listen. I need some feedback on amplification. I'm questioning the Crestron 200x7 amp I currently use to drive my RF-7's. Leaning toward MAC.
  17. So it might depend on how high your ceilings are? My living room where these might go is only 8'. Did the sound seem localized or dispersed? Thanks......Scott
  18. Greetings, Does ayone have any expierience with this new line and how it might compare to other Klipsch in-ceiling's? I'm have some SpeakerCraft AIM8's in my living room, and I'm thinking of jumping to the new THX in-Ceiling, but would love to hear any feedback that anyone might have. Thanks.......Scott
  19. I have 2 RSW-12's in my set up and found the same problem with the auto on . So now I just leave them on all the time, except when I go on vacation. This way they are always ready and warm.
  20. Thanks for your clafification. Hope my dealer qualifies!!!!!!!!!
  21. Amy, what does "We are still in the process of qualifying US dealers" mean? Thanks.............Scott
