  1. Hurry up and replace that kenwood reciever. They are one step up from a pile of steaming dog waste.
  2. Accomdation means we order the products directly through the manufactuer. They give us a break since we sell there stuff. JBL does it, Monster, Intel, AMD, Rockford Fosgate. Basically, we get stuff for 60-80% off retail depending on the manufactuer. For example, we can get some rockford amps that normally cost $400 for $90 a piece. Not a bad deal.
  3. Yes, Klipsch has an accomdation program. No, you can't get the higher end speakers.
  4. The evo responds well to mods. Several are running 11s already. Stock turbo, stock motor, stock drivetrain. My mistu has been great. The stock motor handles 500+hp like a walk in the park. Haven't had any drivetrain issues besides needing a new clutch to handle the power. Takes 21-22psi on 91 octane all day long, and 30+ on higher octane. Runs consistent 11s at the track all night on $60 cheap *** street tires. Overall, a fun and great car. SYI ran 12.8 last night with exhaust, headers, and intake. Not bad, but EVOs are doing 12.0-12.1s with about the same mods.
  5. STI has MAJOR issues. Recall talk is already be bouncing around. My friend works for a very large tuner company. They have a srt4, evo 8, and STI, and he says the STI is the bottom of the list. The evo is badass. The STI is ready to explode from the factory. You can hear it knocking whenever you floor it. On his dyno, the HP would vary wildly from run to run. Overall, STI is nothing but disappointments.
  6. I work in Audio and no sign of anyone from Klipsch. Wharfedales are suppost to be excellent, but I've never heard them. I know we can order them.
  7. Klipsch Quintets are $220 from $399. Klipsch 10" sub is $230 from $399. 99% of Bestbuy employees buy the JBLs as the price is just hard to beat. We can get any JBL speaker, not just the ones they sell at bestbuy. Most people get the studio series for next to nothing.
  8. Klipsch sf-2s for floor speakers. The athena f-2s are also nice. Subs, either of the Klipsch subs. Bookshelf, the JBL studios are nice and sound good. The klipsch are also very nice. The sb-2s and 3s are good.
  9. Cost + 5%. 30 days after his starting date to get the discount. Computer stuff is almost nothing off. Its always cheaper just to buy stuff online. Audio equipment (car and home) is very nice. Depends if the company offers accomdation or not. We get 60-75% off JBL and Athena speaker because they let us order direct from the factory. Hard to pass those deals up.
  10. Focal makes the nicest car audio speakers I've listened too. Dynaudio was a close second. The Rainbows are suppost to be awesome, but never heard their upper end speakers, just the entry level stuff.
  11. Last night I talked a guy into some Quintets instead of the Bose Cubes. Not only did he save $700, but he got a much nicer speaker. Klipsch is all I try to sell at Bestbuy.
  12. That I couldn't even talk to her.
  13. His wife didnt even speak english. Some mexican chick. Gotta get keep the wife happy. If the wife wants crap, the wife gets crap. Sucks. He should have just told her to bad, and got the JBLs.
  14. Yet people buy them. Last night at Bestbuy, even after telling the people all this, they still spent $1400 on Bose speakers. Can't keep the damn cubes in stock we sell them so fast. The guys wife wanted small. He thought the $400 JBLs sounded 10x better, but his wife wouldn't let him buy a speaker larger than the bose. What a shame.
  15. Overall, people just want cheap crap. They buy the $150 KLH systems with reciever/dvd/speakers all day long. They are too stupid/impatient to wait for another paycheck and get something decent. The $285 sony systems are hard to keep in stock, while I've only sold one set of klipsch speakers in the 3 weeks I've been working at bestbuy (a quintet set). I did have a lady last night that was going to buy a complete klipsch setup, yamaha reciever, and Sony Plasma TV, about $8k worth of stuff, but she had to go get her husband. People either want crap or bose. I don't get it. They will spend $1300 on Bose crap boxes in a second, but won't even listen to anything else. I keep having people tell me they have never even heard of klipsch speakers.
  16. I got in trouble at work the other day for bagging on Bose. Some guys came in, one had a Bose setup and was trying to convince his friend that they are the BEST speakers made. I told him they are the best at one thing, marketing. Some how Bose has everyone convinced that their crappy speakers are the best things made. I let him listen to the Klipsch and Athenas, which both blow the Bose out of the water, and he said they sounded bad. I don't know what the hell he was listening too. Too bad we don't get a good price on Klipsch speakers, other wise I would have a set.
  17. I was researching speakers as I just started at Bestbuy 2 weeks ago, and I'm trying to learn as much as possible about speakers. I've always liked Klipsch speakers, and think they outperform the JBL and Bose by far. We added Klipsch and Athena at the same time. Honestly, I think the Athenas are the best sounding speakers we carry. The Athena F2s are damn good sounding, and I like them better than any Klipsch we carry. Anyways, gotta get to work.
