  1. It gets better, later on he claimed to walk into goodguys which in case you didnt know, is the largets klipsch reference reseller on teh west coast (or at least it was until recently). And he said he sound the bose sounddock to sound the best to his ears because of the "science" or some crap. Dude, he walked into goodguys, ignored Monitor Audio, Energy, Mirage, Paradigm and Klipsch to just name a few and more outrageous did not even they were in the store and walked out thinking the sounddock was the best thing they sold.
  2. Negative, do not confuse distortion with bass. If you want more bass with the iFi's turn up the volume, not the bass adjustment. Linear response is something you may not be used to. I'm sure at max volume you'll discover the iFi's have a lot more bass then the 2.1's.
  3. I'd take the RW price being equal, but for 1/2 the price, this is a no brainier my friend. The RW-12 has a larger and more capable driver, you will have noticeably more output with the Klipsch. SVS really holds no great advantage in this price bracket. Did you factor in shipping too? The Klipsch Sub-10 and 12 already match and best the PB12 ISD for output. SVS's real advantages are with their more expensive subs like the PB12-ISD/2 or +/2 which I am quite fond of and will in all likelihood own one day. I would never buy a PB10-ISD over a Sub-12 or RW-12. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  4. rofl, i noticed. I also love how he says that even the bose "salesman" said bose is the best. As if it never occurred to him the salesman's job was to sell bose! Hahah
  5. The SVS will not go that much lower, CAS is being of a FANBOY if I may say so myself. I have owned the RW-12 and the SVS PB12-ISD which is for all intensive purposes is better than the pb10 in every single way. I'd take the RW-12 over the PB10 price being equal every day of the week. Its a better subwoofer in all respects expect for cabinet quality and perhaps a dB or two less around 18-20hz --The PB10 is very heavy and overbuild.
  6. No, but they pay for end caps which basically means nothi9ng else is around. In our store, bose pays a monthly fee to display the 321 system on an endcap with this annoying demo button that gets pressed about 30 times a day. All I hear all day long is the same demo with boomy BOOMY bass. The triport and sounddock also have thier own plastic stand to make them look nicer. Bose pays for that too. I put the iGroove right next to the sound dock.
  7. I cought this on the ilounge.com forums ---------- I don't mean the addicted internet people here. All my friends think Bose is the best. So does the Bose salemen. They can prove it. I just can't afford it. I don't have a Costco membership, but I do think that maybe JBL creature speakers might work with a dock, but they cannot be as good as Bose. I am telling you this even though I do not work at Bose, or have any Bose. It is just what I have heard from everybody. Everyone I know thinks Bose is the best. Everytime I go to someone's house, they all have Bose. I know Bose uses science to make speakers. They understand the brain and how the speakers make you hear things right. This is how Bose did it to be the best. I have heard of JBL, and I am interested in that. Kilpish is an off-brand. I have never heard of them. I cannot even find a website for them. Only "Pro" companies have websites now. Thanks ---------- So many funny quotes... so many....
  8. this entire argument is asinine to begin with. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I wouldnt even put my money on the MRS one way or another even for depth. Sure its certainly more linear than the rest put together, but constructive interference can even make a weak 20hz tone pretty darn significant. Point is, who cares. The MRS is 20k or something like that, Christ.. And he doest use all his subs together. Its his hobby and Id speculate one day he will have all the subs he still has + the mrs.
  9. I agree with this 100%..... however it was pretty funny watching her hair fly around
  10. i'm 99.9999% sure if you summed up all of theears subwoofers, they would whipe the floor with that krell master reference. Its only two 15" woofers. Physics is physics, they just will not be NEAR the spl all his subs put together. Of course, he does have a lot of phase issues when dealing with many subs, but if they are all equal distance from one seat, they will be in near phase as long as the room acoustics arent too bad.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  11. I'm not sure who our buyer is, but they need to buy more. I have sold our entire stock of 2.0's, 2.1's and iFi's. The iGroove is a little more challenging, but I only got the demo unit set up today. Please send us more Klipsch stuff, especially the iFi's because I can sell em with ease. I work for The <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />san Diego CompUSA, store 251. thank you.
  12. the taller ones have less overall output but will have a lower frequency response
  13. honestly, i dont know where these people pull this recessed highs from. The iFi's are by far the most transparent PC speakers I have ever heard. The tweeters are so far beyond what others in this price range are offering its not silly to be so picky.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  14. I would like to point out that you posted your question at almost 8pm indy time the night before Thanksgiving. (A national US holiday) Klipsch closed Wen. at 5pm indy time. IF you want someone to help I suggest you get off your high horse and wait until Monday. At that time I will be glad to have your national sales rep contact you and let you know what is going on. IF you can not wait unitl Monday, enjoy your cardboard sub. oooooooooooooooooooooooOOOooOoOOOOooooo.... trey just b**** slapped theear
  15. I had an RSX-5 woofer break, I still have to buy a new one. I still don't know how it happened tho.
  16. the amp is only inside the subwoofer. you probably heard the subwoofer, but i could not for the life of me tell you how that happened. You have a 90 day warranty so Im sure klipsch will take care of you one way or the other, dont worry.

  18. ya no kidding, i just looked at the FR response and its down 10dB at 48hz... pukes*
  19. I found a pair of these on ebay http://www.pvdj.com/enclosures/djs4/ Item number: 7368583750 I can get one of my friends to pick em up too which means no shipping. The only real issue is, what kind of amp I need to power thoes freaking things. 1000 watts per speaker... ouch on my $$ budget! But with thoes, I may be able to ditch the subwoofer
  20. haha, no thanks on the 901's but that did make me smile. Ya, I have been researching some new PA speakers, but they are pricy and the amp's are even more. Thats why i thought about just getting some old Klipsch's which have great efficiency so i dont have to have more than 60 watts per channel and I can save some bucks on amp. I have never really been satisfied with the bass on most parties I have been too so thats why I wanted a discrete subwoofer. I want to invest in a PC-Ultra which will work great inside... but outside.. well I would need about 4-8 to meet my needs, but I dont think we're gonna do this outside cuz we dont have a cool stage or lights. The parties are pretty big, we charge admission and all. Ill look around for some used la scalas.
  21. I was thinking some used Heresy's off ebay would do the trick, but Im not sure what to look for when buying a pair. These speakers do have to be portable and hold up to some potential wear. I'm thinking about mating them with an SVS tube. Anyway, the last few parties I have attended had the most pathetic attempt of a speaker system so im going to take charge.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  22. good to hear, our new iFi's are all sitting in their boxes lined up. (3 of them) The 4th is open and getting great use. The house is under construction so nothing will be set up for a while. The ifi's are sitting next to some brand new Energy RC-70's, an RC-LCR and RC-R's with a Denon 3910 DVD player which I'm dying to hear.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
