  1. I dono, but let me know, cuz im about ready to upgrade all my input/output cables too.
  2. Krillian Hex, do a 3 woofer pyramid opposed to just stacking them
  3. Audigy sounds better because its 24bit, however the software for the cruz is much better and the virtual5.1 is much much better then the audigy and audigy2 cmss crap. I got the a2 and after about 2 months of use, put my cruz back in. I really want to get a revo at this point, except im not sure how the software works. One thing that really bugged me about the a2 is the SLOWNESS of the software. HEll i would double click on the control panel and 4 seconds later it would open up. This is xp2400, good lord thats outrageous!
  4. The manual says not to stack more then 3 high, they are 33lbs each! Im gonna get my second later this week!
  5. Im not sure what to do about the DD51, perhaps you can ask that on the other forum, in regards to the SWS, that is strange, I hooked my up the way you did initially and i did not notice any reduction in output, however you can do this, just run the 5/6 channels tot he SWS and put the 1-4 channels directly into your 5.1 sub. Then run the 5/6 bypass back to the 5.1 sub. that way you still get input to the SWS put you dont have to get it from the important channels. You will have to turn your SWS up a little more, probably about 1/2. Also make sure you are running 5.1 mode and have some kinda of upmix for the stereo music, like cmss or virtual 5.1. Remember to disable that when watching movies, however you might want to fix your dd51 first.
  6. RW8 is a far better sub, however the SWS is far cheaper and it will not dissapoint.
  7. I thought the decoder had a way to upmix stero sound to all 5 channels. problem here i think is the santacruz only ouputs 4 channel digital sound. to be honest i dont know the answer, i dont have the dd51
  8. InnovaZero, do you have 2 SWS's? I only have one, but im about to order my second, when i do, i will test it out, I honestly dont think the ultra can beat 2 sws at any freq.
  9. I will also say this, THEY CAN'T get the number if you do what i said, trust me.
  10. seafarer, Im a computer programmer, I can assure you that your CC# is safe when you give it to Klipsch. If you want to delete it forever just click on tools internet options, click the content tab then click the auto complete settings and uncheck the remember checkbox and click the clear history button. dude, let me tell you something else, no one can hack your pc unless you have a virus that opens up ports for someone, ie. a Trojan. You can only get that if you execute a file. .exe and i think there are a few other tricky extensions. IE makes it confusing because it allows some executable stuff, NEVER download those plug ins you get asked to download. Anyway just run ad aware once in a while and you will be fine.
  11. Using the SWS link is just as loud but it matches your system, so you you have to turn your system up loud to hear the SWS. the bass control on the main system will also control the SWS, which is cool. Just leave the SWS at default 12-o-clock and it should be good. In the end the SWS link is really what you want to use.
  12. what would be sick is if someone wrote a software program to emulate SACD thu dts or prologic, in other words, a translator.
  13. My favorite part about the SWS is like the ultras it touches 30-25hrz zone quite nice with less distortion (port noise) Its a very nice sounding sub. Far better then 4.1 dual 6.5's with the tube port. Granted the SWS nor the ultra can hit that 25 zone very loud however teamed up they do a much better job. My only complaint about the SWS is that the sws link cord is really short, 2 feet. So I will be forced to buy a new one. However the control pod is really long, at least 12 feet. Question about the santa cruz, i noticed it only has 4 channel digital out. I mean granted its only thu one wire, but it says "digital 4.1", not "digital 5.1" What is that crap all about?
  14. right, i just learned about that, thx for the heads up.
  15. Not bad, thanks for the product tip, i always like getting thoes, I have not been very happy with my omni mouths, the brackts that come with them do not fit the sat snug, i was conistering gettin new ones frabricated but that would coast bank.
  16. I know what my xmas money will be used on SWS #2 w00t!
  17. This sub is just as impressibe as anyone would want it to be. It even improved the ultras more noticeable then I expected. My jaw dropped.. The 8 inch driver gives it low frequencies much like the ultras. Its like adding another ultra sub, just not quite as powerful. I cant even tell you how loud it got, its ridicules for multimedia! 2 of these things is overkill and I cant wait to get my second one! I'll write a lot more about it once I play with it some more. But at first I plugged in the SWS link and it was really weak. I think I set the phase wrong or something, but it just was not getting any input! I had the SWS at max and the ultras sub at -9 and the ultra still sounded louder. Perhaps it was the phase or something like that, but then I decided to try method 2, using the stereo bypass and WOW everything started shaking. The SWS beats even the 4.1 sub. Hooking this up to the 2.1s could be overkill unless you set it right. I just turned my 2.1 sub off, there was no point for it, by the time the sws got past 8-oclock it was too base heavy for the 2s, lol. BTW the control pod starts at 6-oclock and goes all the way around to 4, almost a 360. Speaking of which, it is VERY nice, completely finished, top and bottom with soft rubber. It stuck to my glass desk like glue and it has a wicked cool blue on light. Overall the SWS is a lot like the ultra in terms of sound, and power. In fact each ultra driver is only 85 watts RMS while this one pushes 100. So in fact, its driving the driver harder then the ultra, but there is only one. But like I said, it complements the ultra well with matching NONE THX logo(which imo looks better then the ultra thx one) and slotted port. The color is slightly darker, more like the GMX subs. Other then that, the sucker is HEAVY as sin, 33lbs. The 4.1s with all 4 speakers are only 33lbs. so that will tell you something. Its got a lot of features in the back and its very versatile, I can hook this up to any mm system even home theater with no adaptors. Truly a great unite to own. I will write more about it if people wish. I dont have any sound testing hardware, but I have tons-o multimedia speakers to test it with (4 altec sets and 4 klipsch sets). Anyway I was just exciting to hear it so I wanted to write a brief summery of my first impressive. If you in any way whosoever you have the urge for slightly more bass, the SWS feeds that crave very well for very cheap. I cant believe this thing was only 100 dollars. To be honest, it works best with the ultras. They are the only system I can turn the SWS up full without killing the sats, rofl. However the real beauty about the SWS is you can turn down your main sub and adjust the SWS exactly how you want it, I would set the crossover at 60 and let the SWS do the base, give more power to your sats and save your amp from being pushed so hard. This would be great for the 2.1s or 4.1s and especially good for to weak amped GMX system. I cant wait to see what this does to the GMX 5.1s. I will test that in a few days. I asked ears if he thought the B4 would match the ultra + 16 sws. After hearing just 1 SWS with the ultra I would be not bet on the B4. I have never heard the B4, Im sure its capable of killing small children, but the SWS is impressive never the less. It definitely does not disappoint. Oh btw, i also wondering what the box looked like, nothing special, its white with black letters and no pic. Its not cool like the other PM boxes, I figured someone might want to know that, at least I did, maybe im crazy, lol.
  18. Im really worried because the shirt came Thursday and its not Sunday. I know for a fact they deliver Saturday and Sunday because I got my ultras today on Sunday. And if they ship Sunday, they sure as hell will ship Saturday. Anyway I will call them, Im very disappointed with FedEx. The tracking system is a joke
  19. the sws can not replace the 4.1, it does not have output or power for speakers. it can only be added to an existing system.
  20. ROFL i would RA that! thats messed up =P See if you can pry it off and reglue it, i would
  21. No, im just freaking out because I got the shirt Thursdays and both he shirt and sub arrived at the final drop off location at the same time, and according the tracking number the sub as been on the truck for delivery for uhm about 70+ hours, which is only about 35 miles from my house. For some reason I can just picture my SWS floating to some deserted island and someone who was stranded there found it, hoping it was food when the opened it and got really mad because it was some stupid subwoofer! *cries* I have wanted this thing for like 6 months!
