what model klipsch speakers do u have, what part of mass are u located? im in sothern nh.

I am soooooooo tempted to hit bin,[:S] there is also a pair in maine that look ok. i'm watching both auctions and maybe be able to steal a pair,LOL.

i would consider a trade but i am looking for a box style sub. already tried the tube style, wife wants box style.

How much power can these drivers take? i have a crown k2 and am interested in copying your design. would the k2 have enough power or would i need another k2.

I picked up a crown k2 recently on e-pay for 670.00 bux /great condition. i hooked it up to my heresys and OH MY GOD! they sounded so much better than being driven by my sony db830 receiver. now im looking at getting amps for the speakers because the k2 will be for subwoofer duty. I agree the Crown K1/K2 amps are excellent.

if you search the boston area and new hampshire craigslist there are a few pairs of heresy's and a pair of cornwalls. i recall there is a pair of heresy in nashua nh for 300 on CL. mint pair of heresy in stoughton mass with risers for 500.00/boston CL.

Yes i can do a bit of soldering. where would i get the caps? is there a tutorial or guide somewhere on this forum on how to do it? thanx all for the nice comments. what does updrading the caps do for the sound?

Thanx, i got them here http://boston.craigslist.org/ele/187691521.html. i offered him 300.00 and he said if i could come right away he would take it. he was only about 35 miles from me so i shot down there as quickly as i could,LOL. So far all music i've listened to with them sounds much better, clearer, fuller, and easily much louder with little input of volume control. I cant wait to find a pair of La scalas or Cornwalls now !!!.

I picked up a pair of original owner 1978 vintage heresy's on friday night. 300.00 bux!!!!!!!!!! they are in great condition the drivers look excellent. found them on craigslist. I currently have a pair of ksb 3.1's which sound good, but the heresys are so much better even though they are 28 years old. I have them hooked up to a crown k2 amp i picked up recently and they sound much better than when hooked up to my receiver (sony db830 [:$]). i'll be using the crown for a subwoofer that im going to be building. what is a decent amp to drive the heresy's with that wont break the bank? i'm thinking 200-300 dollars. Listened to eagles HFO DTS and some clapton and am very pleased with these old speakers []

is there a document that shows how to match the year of a speaker by its serial #. (ex/ IE499 .) that can be found online?

would klipsch heresy speakers be considered a step up or down compared to klipsch klf-10's. i would think that they would be a step up going by price. but how about actual performance?.

e-mailed him a request for a phone # to talk about speakers. wow i may be able to go la scalas for fronts and heresys for rears in my home theater.
