I just picked up a Super Cube I sub. I have KLF-20's as mains. My Pioneer Elite for the LFE will set the crossover at 80Hz. I have a Classe' preamp that is somewhat integrated into my system and I use the preouts for the highpass connections on the sub. I have been told from the Definitive Tech guy to set the Cube I at 60 to 65 Hz because he worked at Klipsch for 12 years and he thinks the roll off of the KLF-20's would be about the 60 to 65Hz range. I have my system sittng on a pergo floor. I would like to get your opinions. Any thoughts as to where I set the crossover? Thanks JBR

If I were you, I would tell her your having a hard time selling them cause their too old and nobody wants them. That will last you about 8 months or so and when you get your RF7's, tell everyone here and I'm sure you will be able to sell them quickly.[]

Hey Guys, I need a switch box that handles component and optical audio. I have been checking around the net and seen them anywhere for $90 to $1000. 4 in and 1 out would be just fine for me. I saw one by Audio Authority and it was $180. It has 100 Mhz @ -3db. I'm told to have at least a 30 Mhz signal so I would imagine the 100Mhz would be fine. My out cable is 50 feet. Anybody here use one of these or a switchbox in general? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Photos of the switch box are below. JBR

I'm getting Comcast HD on 11/27. It will be hooked up through component video to my Sony HS51 projector. I've seen this projector with an HD dish signal (don't know which one) and it looked awesome. I'm also going to use the optical audio connection. Anybody out there have the Comcast HD hooked up to their projector and audio system? How does it look and sound to you? JBR

Well, it appears that I am not the only one to experiance this type of mishap. I was actually sleeping in my chair 45 minutes before with my head directly underneath the shelf. I should have bought lotto tickets. [] JBR

I was sitting on the edge of my leather recliner eating a bowl of Honey Coated Cheerios and I was almpost done when............CRASH!! Oh my god!! What the @$&%!! was that? I was out of my chair real fast. I turned around and I saw it. The shelf holding my few months old Sony HS51 projector came off the wall. Just came right off! The shelf landed behind the chair and would you believe it; the projector had what appeared to be a nice soft landing onto my leather chair right behind where I was sitting. My wife was in the bedroom and she was in the living room fast, too. We just stared at it for a little while. I then proceded to put table in front of my screen so I could put the projector on it and test it. Not a scratch on the projector and it works just fine. I had the shelf mounted with some of the screw inserts that you use when a stud isn't available. The inserts were pretty beefy so I thought the shelf would hold 10lb prjector forever. Wrong! I walked through the door of the lumber yard with one minute to spare and bought a 2x4x8 piece of fir and cut two 36" pieces. I mounted each of those on the studs with four 3" wood screws on each piece. I mounted the brackets on top of those. I could probably chin ups on the brackets now. All in all it was quite a scare. I just thought I would share this event with you all. JBR

I'm using a Pioneer Elite VSX-24TX for my processor. From there I run the front R &L pre-outs to my Class' CP-35 preamp and then onto my latest addition of a B&K ST125.2 S2 amp. I run the center and rear L&R from the Pioneer pre-outs directly to a B&K ST125.3 amp. JBR

Just be careful with Rear Projection CRT based TV's. They still burn in where DLP and LCD does not. The rainbow affect DLP was driving me nuts, so, I got a Sony HS51 LCD front projector. Sure it has some motion artifact, but I can live with it until I get a scaler. As for the light bulb, I save on bulb hours by watching regular TV on my little 15" Sharp Aquos that sits on top of my center channel (RC-7). JBR

I normally wait and see what the price is when the last shelf model goes up for sale. I have a good contact at my dealer. Out of my whole audio system. The only thing I bought brand new is the RC-7 and RS-7's. JBR

I just added another amp to my system. I now have a B&K ST125.3 running my my center(RC-7) and rears(RS-7's) and my new amp ST125.2 S2 is running my front mains(KLF20's). The Pioneer Elite VSX-24TX is officially a proccessor only. The old mix of 125 watts across the front and 90 watts in the back was OK. But, with 125 watts all around, I can definately tell the difference. My system now has a more full and balanced sound. Now, all I need is a new SUB and I will be satisfied for awhile. My 20+ year old SUBS by M&K are just too darn old. JBR

If I remember correctly, I bought my RC-7 and RS-7's to match my KLF 20's because I saw the RC-7 being recommended as a match on the Klipsch site. That was quite awhile ago. I think it was just after the discontinuance of the KLF-C7. In any case, I think it sounds great and blends in just fine. In the end, it's how it sounds to you that counts. JBR

rplace, I like the Carada allot. Comparing to other more expensive screens, I felt it was the best for the money. I went with the brilliant white because the projectors out there will just keep getting better with contrast ratio. It's your standard 16:9 (1:78:1). I went back and forth with the 1:85:1 because most DVD's are that format. In the end, I thought I would probably still watch more HDTV. Indy, Yes, it was fun!

I to have a Carada Brilliant White screen 92". The brilliant white was recomended by a projector dealer. They said projectors will always get brighter so therefore spring for the bright one and live with a little grayer black for now. Sure enough, along comes the Sony VPL-HS51. Blacks on this projector are pretty much black. I used the Avia disc to set the colors and WOW, this is a pretty picture. One thing the Avia does is force you to lower the level of sharpness. It actually does bring out more detail. I also am not affiliated with Carada. As above, another satisfied customer. Interesting about painting the back wall. It does make sense. We already painted the wall with the screen a flat darkish green. I wonder if I can convince her to paint the back wall the same color......nah, probably not.
