  1. As long as your familiar with Steves-digicams, take a look at the review of the Casio Ex-750.And here's another great review....http://www.kenrockwell.com/casio/exz750.htm.... I have owned one of these for over a year now and really like it.The battery life is outstanding and the thing fits in a pocket. You can P and S or have total control over the image. My wife uses it with no problem and it took 6 universal remotes to find the one she was happy with. What I don't like is the flash at a distance and the 3x zoom. And since they have been out awhile you can find them on Ebay for under 200 bucks. I think I paid 300 for mine.Oh, and it takes a great video. That's my two cents....Sid PS. The screen is HUGE so it makes it really easy to see and compose the shot.....
  2. This is flat wire. On one end there is a collar with a sensor inside that clamps onto a hydraulic cylinder attached to a trim tab on a boat. On the other end is a small panel with two rows of led's that light up in relationship to the position of the trim tab. I don't think sensitivity is an issue. I was hoping for some type of male-female connectors. The soldering would work if all else fails....
  3. Ok, I'm stumped on this one. What I'm trying to do is lengthen a 8 wire ribbon cable. Because of the way the cable attaches to the sensors at the ends I have to cut the cable in the middle and add a section. Do they make any kind of connectors for this. It can be funky, joint will be hidden, just has to work......Anyone???

  6. Thanks for the help. Sorry it took awhile to respond back. I took the plunge on Sat. and got married. Now I REALLY have to pay attention to the WAF!! Thanks again....sid
  7. I have to replace my TV due to damage caused by a service dept. and was wondering if anyone knew what compares to this unit.I would buy another one but they are discontinued.Do they still sell tubes this big? If not what would you recommend as a replacement???Thanks guys,Ive learned alot just by checking here everyday...Sid
  8. That was fun and almost relaxing. I made it to level 19 with a score of 4240..Sid
  9. Going back to the menu on the Onkyo, shouldn"t the front speakers be set to small? Sid
  10. Heck, I'm in Perry Hall, which is close to Baltimore, so count me in too!!
  11. Are you SURE they only took out yopur appendix!! Holy toledo my appendix scar is only an inch long. With a hole that big who knows what they could have drug out and sold!!...lol...Sid
  12. Have you considered the SF-2's and the SS-1's. My set up is the same as yours without the bookshelfs and it rocks! My room is around 11x20. The SS-1's sound great if you like that kind of sound. What I mean is that you are enveloped in sound rather then being able to pinpoint the effects. When I sit in the sweet spot it sounds uncannny, like the speakers just disappear and music radiates around me.Too cool.Hope this helps...Sid
  13. Why are you letting refurb throw you back? I try to buy all my electronics refurb for the savings. They usually have the same warranty and have been gone over at the factory more closely then the new stuff.I've never had any of my refurb items go bad.The new stuff, well that's a different story. See my "long shot" thread. As both buyer and seller on Ebay, negative feedback is not looked upon lightly.I would recommend keeping the camera and your good rating.I bought a Toshiba PDR-M70 dig cam refurbed on Ebay and have been extremly happy with it and saved a couple hundred bucks. Also the refurbed Denon 1804 is serving me well too.Just my 2 cents.Good luck...Sid
  14. My Panasonic dvd died last night so I'm in the market for player.I would like to keep it under $200.I don't mind used or Ebay or refurb's.Any thoughts on this? Thanks again....Sid
  15. Well did the h02 search and yep,I'm screwed..lol..Less then a year old too. What can you recommend for under $200. I don't mind using Ebay if that helps. If anyone else has a Panny out there this seems to be a big problem...Sid
  16. I know this is a long shot, but does anyone here know what error code h02 on a Panasonic dvd-s35 means.Panny web support hasn't helped and I can't find a proper Panny forum to post to. When I insert a dvd it just shuts off. I'm stumped.Thanks...Sid
  17. I was in Towson,Maryland today and had just gotten out of my truck when the "White Van" pulled up.They immediatly started the "Pitch".I just had a big smile on my face. They said "you're never gonna believe what we got".So I said "well my system is all Klipsch, so what do you have"?The looks on their face from the high to the low was, well, Priceless..Thanks again,Klipsch. And look out for the white van in Maryland....Sid
  18. Now I got it!Thanks. Do you think I should stay with S-video or go with component cables?
  19. What I have is an s-video and audio left and right cables going from the DVD to the receiver.Everything else is set just like you described. This might be why it also says analog on the front display.Should I go optical? Does optical cover audio and video?Thank you...Sid
  20. First of all I'd like to thank everyone who helped me out with this problem.I know we all have busy lives and I really appreciate your time.I log on everyday here, so most of the questions I had were answered even before I got my system set up.All I left to do is some final tweeks and figure out how to play a DTS movie. The player is a Panasonic and I have bitstream selected. The other option was PCM, which didn't work. When I select DTS on the receiver it goes from DD to DTS NEO6.I also select it in the movie options. One more question if you can stand it, is when I use the THX audio test on a DVD I don't get any noise from my sub.It works fine in DD though. All in all I'm amazed at the sound of the Klipsch and the Denon and this is just the Synergy system!I listened to the Diana Krall DVD and now I'm in love..LOL.. Anyways, thanks again for all the help....Sid
  21. Ok, here's an update.Checked speaker polarity.Re tested tones with master volume at 00.Same result. Then I decided to see what the vcr sounded like.Same thing.I then put it on FM and man what a difference!!I couldn't turn it up all the way. Now this is why I bought klipsch! So I then tried the music channels on cable tv.Same result as FM.Just incredible sound. Then I put a music cd in the dvd player and it was the same as the FM,LOUD! What could be wrong here? I do get great sound from dvd and vcr movies, just not loud.Hope this helps you too om13934.I'm sure there has to be a solution here. Thanks guys....Sid
  22. Does it make any difference where the master volume is set when I go through the test tone sequence? Also the first time I calibrated (by ear)the tones were set from 0 to +3 db according to the OSD.Overall volume was loud but just didn't sound loud enough. Then I retested the tones and kicked them up to 15db-18db. This didn't seem to affect overall volume. How does setting test tones relate to overall volume. Am I asking to much of the 1804?Thanks again for the help...Sid
  23. Well finally received my 1804 and got it all set up last night.Very easy to set up I might add.The system sounds great but it seems like it could be louder.I can turn the 1804 all the way up and watch a dvd. With other cheaper and way less quality systems I could never turn any of them up all the way.Have I got something set up wrong or is the sound so clean its possible to listen to levels higher then I used to.Also does any know the code for a motorola cable box so I can program it into the Denon remote? By the way the first dvd I watched was Open Range. The gunfight was just incredible.Gotta love those Klipschs. Thanks in advance....Sid
  24. I was thinking of putting my sub in the same place,in the corner formed by the couches. Do you think this affects the sound in a negative manner? I only have one sub so it's either there or up in front by the mains. What would be better? Thanks and congradulations on a nice room...Sid
  25. Thank you for the fast answer. I knew I could count on you guys....Sid
