  1. Another lovely day in the neighborhood. I am actually at work for inventory. It's all good. My wife appreciates that I work and she doesn't. Gotta keep her happy so she doesn't wake up one day and think, "what the hell was I thinking marrying him."
  2. The weekend was great, but now back to the reality of work. Ya'll have a great week. Here is a picture of my niece being silly at dinner last night.
  3. My mower has been doing overtime here. The aquifer is the highest is has been since 2007.
  4. TGIF - A week of high stress and mentally draining tasks to save customers and salesmen, who all waited too late to order product but had to have it like yesterday. I need a way-back machine. Anyway, just 8 hours to live through and then some pool time, then some drinks and crank up the stereo. My wife is out of town, so I'm a bachelor for two days. "lock & load, smoke'm if you got em" let's get ready to rumble...
  5. Yes she is beautiful, but we are just friends.
  6. She is a friend and yes my wife knows about lunch. Besides I'm old enough to be her father. She is a sweet girl.
  7. Had a great lunch with Odilia. That is a pastrami beef rib. Soaked in brine for 3 days and smoked for 14 hours. You can pull the meat off the bone with your fork.
  8. Speakers beat yard work every time. Alas, for me it was yard work. On the up side, I did find a check slid into my front door. I have told you about mowing my neighbors yard, which I have done on multiple occasions. Well, he heard from a mutual neighbor that it was me and left me a check for $200. Unexpected money is always nice.
  9. Good morning all. The caffeine is flowing. I know the feeling. It's a curse. Fortunately, age has cured me. After I sold the Rotus, I bought a 97 Miata on a whim with every intention of installing another BOP/Rover 3.5 liter aluminum V8. I met a Ford engineer who had put a Buick 215 in a Miata. It was very cool. The aluminum V8 was barely any heavier than the 4 banger it replaced. Even with the resources he had at Ford, the conversion was very complicated and expensive. Furthermore, that Miata was the most dependable car I ever owned. Whereas the motor was regularly pulled from the Rotus to address chronic issues with a Tilton hydraulic throwout bearing, I never once had to pull the motor in the MX5. :-) I eventually sold the Miata un-bastardized. The attached photo of the Miata has been posted before. Are you familiar with the following site? Dan LaGrou knows 215s. http://www.aluminumv8.com/ While I didn't stuff a V8 in it, I did turbo charge my '93.
  10. Almost through another Monday at work. The sun is out (yea!) and looks like good weather the rest of the week with highs in the 80's and no rain. I was so nice yesterday, I mowed my yard and two of my neighbors (one away on vacation and the other is 78).
  11. I feel your pain Carl. It has rained here everyday and expected to continue through the weekend. There are a lot of road closures and flooding everywhere.
  12. Special treat today. Roy has been in town a few days for work, so today, Travis is driving down to meet us for lunch. Good food, good friends, the good life.
  13. The display is digital. The user may choose what they want to display.
  14. So much for fun and games. Back to work today. On the bright side, it is a short week. Ya'll have a good one.
  15. Kevin has DJI Phantom 4. He should chime in.
  16. Smitty's is my favorite. Next would be the Salt Lick, followed by Blacks. I have not eaten at Kreuz or Iron Works.
  17. I totally get being tired. Four days of 4 hours of sleep let me know, I'm not 30 anymore. Still, I wouldn't change anything. I had a blast.
  18. I cannot take credit. That was taken by Kevin with his drone.
  19. Now for something totally different. The lake house in Bodcaw AR.
  20. Thanks for all the info guys. I have edited the original post for a new price of $900.
  21. I have a ridge vent that runs the full length of my house. It has always done a great job. Just have to make sure I don't push speaker boxes between the ceiling and roof, as not to block the vents.
  22. Who would of thought after 4 days of living large in audio never never land that coming back to the real world and work would be such a let down.
  23. Yes, I value the members here and their extensive knowledge. I have not taken offense to any questions or concerns over the speaker condition. It's just that I don't know what these go for these days. I do appreciate the input and other speakers for comparison. I will share all this information with my buddy Bill to better educate him on the market. Again, thanks to all of you for your input and patience. I do not wish to upset anyone or break any forum rules; explicit or implied.
  24. I just posted what he said. I haven't bought or sold Cornwalls in over 10 years, so I'm out of touch. Where do you think he should be?
