  1. Dont you have a buddy who needs one also? Not exactly, it's very complicated. My buddy has 2 pairs of 904s, he wanted one of the pair coming up for sale so we'd both get a center channel, but the pair didn't come up for sale. He would sell me one and use 3 904s across the front, however Bill Hendrix wants to buy a set off him. If he sells a set to Hendrix, he'll sell me the other set and use a pair of Jubilees for mains and a K Horn for the center. So I'm rooting for him not to sell to Bill lol.
  2. I'd only consider it if I end up getting two of them. I'll probably just put the spare channel up for sale.
  3. I'm movin' on up to Pro Cinema speakers, so I need to sell some of my old ones to raise $$. For sale are the incomparable RS-7 speakers. These have served me well for nearly a decade now as side surrounds. Not much to say, great speakers, never had one bit of trouble with them. Price is $350 for the pair and buyer pays the actual shipping cost. Thanks!
  4. Movin' on up to Pro Cinema speakers, so I need to raise some $$ from my old speakers. These have served me well as rear surrounds for 4-5 years now. One of the speakers took a fall from it's shelf a few years ago(thanks Dark Knight), the cabinet got a bit banged up, a slight tear in the grill cloth and I had to replace the woofer, but otherwise it's fine, you can barely see the damage in the pic. A testament to the build quality of Klipsch speakers! Price is $350 shipped for the pair in the United States, the buyer would have to pay International shipping.
  5. I just wonder if it would too boomy, over power the L&R channels or maybe cause phase issues.
  6. I'll make a very long story short, I already have a set of 904s. Dan on the forums has two sets of 904s, either he'll sell me one speaker to use as a center, or a pair depending what he decides. If he sells me the pair, he mentioned wiring them together to create a center channel(basically making a kpt-415 lol). Can that be done and wired to where it'll sound good, or would I be better off using one 904 as the center and trying to find a buyer for the spare 904? EDIT: Turns out Dan has all the parts to build another 904, just need a cabinet, which I might can build. Doing the math though, the surround 904s will be 2.5ft from the side seats. Think that might be too much speaker too close?
  7. Yeah Colorado Springs just feels more Coloradoey, why we moved up here. All the convenience of Denver with a fraction of the population and better mountain views.
  8. Must be a number of us, Dan Mueller is I know. I'm actually about to move to Colo Springs where I'll be building the most badass media room I can imagine! I'd definitely put my dad out before waiting till Thanksgiving, but thanks.
  9. Hope this is the right place for this thread. I'm buying a KPT-884 sub from Scrappy in Kansas City, MO, and I need to get it here to Denver, CO. If anyone is coming through that route and can transport it, there's $50 and a 12 pack of beer in it for you(specify your brand ). FYI I'm right off 70 on the East end of town, easy peasy. Alternatively my Dad works in Tulsa, OK which is 4 hours SW of Kansas City. If you get it to him, he'll be coming here in mid September. If anyone can help that'd be sweet.
  10. Hehe no, this would strictly be for the living room set up, not the media room. The living room is really nice, open floor plan, can't think of how to put the RS-7's in and make em' look good.
  11. I was eying these for use as surround speakers in the living room. We're moving into a house with canned lighting, these would be a nice solution for the living room. However from what I've read it seems their meant to be their own system like powered speakers rather than working with a receiver. True or false?
  12. Can't wait to get all this together... Gonna be a few months.
  13. Hehe, love how small this community is. How much better is the crossover in older models? Because the set he wants to get us both for center channels are 99's.
  14. Yup, got a buyer lined up for SVS, I'll be getting the 884 soon.
  15. I already got a pair of 904's from a guy here in Denver, Dan Mueller. He sold me one of his two pairs. He knows another guy selling a pair, he's gonna buy one and I'll buy the other so we each get a center. Mostly movies, the occasional concert blu ray. Really I'm happy with my bass, but then I've been happy with RF-7's going on a decade till now. Plus all the new standards seem to like 2 subs.
  16. It's just one SVS pb2+ sub, big rectangular box with 2 12in woofers not one of their cylinder subs.
  17. Well actually my SVS has passive connections on it so you could hook up an external amp. I'm still leaning toward the 884 though, it will match the system afterall and if it's good enough for commercial cinema lol. Got a polite low ball offer on Craigslist, $500 for the SVS sub. He said to keep it in mind if I can't sell it... guess I might.
  18. Steven here on the forums is giving me the chance to buy is 884 sub with a Crown amp at a very good price. I currently have the SVS PB2+ down firing sub with 900w amp and 2x12 woofers. My question is whether I should stick with what I have or sell it for the 884? On paper the 884 doesn't fire as low as mine. However should I ever want to add a 2nd sub I can always get another 884, where finding another SVS sub like mine would be next to impossible. Decisions decisions. And btw anyone interested in the SVS for $1000 in Denver?
  19. I'm about to get a pair of them, but still need a third for the center. The guy I'm buying them from says he knows another guy who should be selling a pair soon, he and I would each buy one, we both need centers. However a bird in the hand... where is the guy with three? Whats he asking? And would he be willing to sell just one? The ceiling speakers are a ways off anyway, plenty of time to ponder that. For surrounds I like the VBATS, trying to decide between the 8's or the 12's, I'm thinking the 8's might be all I'd need.
  20. ****SOLD**** I've got an RC-62, not the sequel version. It's in excellent condition aside from a small tear in the grill cloth on the upper right corner which is nearly imperceptible(as you can see). Works great, $150 plus shipping and it's yours.
  21. If your interested I have an RC-62 for sale in excellent condition, $150 plus shipping.
  22. I'm about to get a pair of kpt-904's to start my new "pro" set up. I'll still need a third for the center and either kpt-8's or 12's for surrounds, haven't decided yet. In thinking of the future with Dolby Atmos, I'm thinking a 13 or 15 channel set up will be ideal. The ceiling speakers will be a set of front heights, side heights and rear heights. I'm wondering if I can get away with the reference series Klipsch CDT-5800-C II speakers. However I have a feeling the better match would be the KL7502THX Ultra2. Question is will they be $600 per speaker better?
