I would just recommend buying new speakers. I think each Ultra sat is about $18 You could therefore replace all 4 sats with better speakers for around $90 with the shipping included. Contact Klipsch about this.

There is really no standby mode on any of the PM amps. They are constantly amplifying unless the volume is set to 0. Its like they are trying to amplify no signal.
