I think the only respectable product Bose makes is their Tri-Port headphones. But thay still aren't on level with most of Grado's and Senn's products.

I think Panasonic has the best cd/mp3 player in terms of sound quality out there. You may also want to look into iRiver if they still make their line of cd/mp3 players. TDK used to make a good one too, can't remeber what it was though. Rio has dropped out of this game after they released the SP250/350.
