Why did you choose Heritage loudspeakers over another Klipsch model? Response: Heritage was the only line Klipsch had in 1976!!! 5. If you currently own some Heritage loudspeakers, and could purchase some more Klipsch speakers(new or used), which ones would you purchase? Response: A Heritage matching center channel. Why? Response: Would probably be much better than modified heresy I use now. 6. Do you think the upcoming Jubilee should become part of the "Heritage" line, since it was also designed by PWK? Response: No Opinions on that.
  2. jdire1, message me on what kind of price you need on the other Lascala, I might be interested. Thank you.

  4. Freak, the TV is a 57" Sony XBR HDTV. I've had it now for almost 3 years, so its getting a little old. LOL About 3 months ago I bought my wife a 50" LCD Sony (Christmas Present) for her to watch upstairs. We never or very seldom watch the same programing; And I had to buy her something better than I was watching. Now I also watch a lot more TV upstairs with her, so it worked out; now we see more of each other. Actually, the room downstairs looks crowded on the picture, but it really isn't. The picture is kind of deceiving, must be the wide angle lens used. Actually the room was much bigger. The khorns used to be 17 feet apart. I made the room smaller and now they are 14 feet apart and I sit about 10 feet in front of them; that is the best listening distance also.
  5. Hey klpschfan, Check the following out KLF-C7's with freight. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3077859671&category=14992&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3077971446&category=14992&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1 Where is that store?
  6. Ya, the room is 14 x 17, but it doesn't take much fo fill er UP! When it gets warm out, the SONY is going to be built in the wall, or my other option is to get a plasma hung on the wall or LCD. Not sure which will be CHEAPER. I'm working on that part right now. Got a 50" LCD upstairs now, I like it. That's my wifes TV.
  7. Hey BigBusa, that's probably why I fall to sleep on the couch so much. Them dang khorns are just to boring! lol
  8. Hey freak, you want to see a picture of your KLF-C7 center channel? Check out: http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/files/k-horn.JPG
  9. Hey playntheblues, hope you haven't painted the birch khorns black yet. Check the attached picture out; these are birch plywood khorns!!!!!!!!
  10. bchild*** I don't have any pics right now, but it looks like it just came out of the box. I can take pics latter tonite. Trust me it is in excellent condition. According to what the last ones on ebay went for, I would say $570.00 plus freight.
  11. I have a like new KLF-C7 for sale. If I don't sell it here I will list it on Ebay. Make an offer. It is hardly broken in and not a scratch on it. Color is black. Located in Wisconsin. Great center channel but the timbre didn't match klipschorns close enough for my liking. Worked fine for movies but a little shaky for music. Now use modified heresy. Works great for music and also works for movies. Hard to beat the quality of sound that comes out of the KLF-C7; I wish klipsch would make one just like it to match the timbre of the Heritage series. I would buy it in a flash!!! Just noted that the last two KLF-C7's on ebay went for $635.00 and $625.00 including freight. THE KLF-C7 IS SOLD !!!
  12. Vandec54, I have a pair of RS-3's (used very little) I will sell you. And I live in Wisconsin so you can pick them up. Give me a "note" on my email if you are interested. dlhoman@charter.net
  13. Mandi, take one of your heresys and put it in the center. It will match up with the cornwalls! Works really well with music and HT movies. I can't give a class but sure enjoy the posts. Can someone tell how crossovers work? What do the capacitors do? How do crossovers direct the proper current to the proper driver?
  14. Thanks for all the help! To bad I'm such a dummy at this. John, if I new what your schematic meant, I would attempt to make the changes. But, unfortunately I am going to have to do a little studying before I would even attempt to make changes. Can that schematic be put in laymens terms? I am very interested in how crossovers work, is there anywhere on the net that would be a good learning tool? Again thanks for the help. This is getting exciting!! JM That is one huge room you have there for your HT!! Great looking klipschorns.
  15. I am talking mostly HT. If I listen to music, I go strictly two channel unless it is a music DVD which is in 5.1. I have to say I am happy with the Heresy for center channel, but I was just checking to see if there were any adjustments that could be made to make it better. Looks like my next move will be to get a plasma monitor and hang it on the wall; then, I will have the room for a las or belle. That might be a few years down the road thou. Thanks for all the help guys and gals... Can't beat Klipsch Heritage....
  16. Actually I have the heresy right now. I am very happy with it. I used to use a KLF-C7 for my center, but the timbre did not match that good although the KLF-C7 is an exceptional center channel speaker. I do not have any room for the other heritage line. The problem again is because the heresy has smaller horns and cabinet, it gives you a smaller sound compared to the klipschorns. I just wondering if there is any modifications that can be made to narrow that gap of smaller sound.
  17. I'm sure klipsch makes many subwoofers to fit the bill. I have had excellent experiences with Dr. Hsu subs. http://www.hsuresearch.com/ It all depends on what your budget is; but the Dr. Hsu subs are very hard to beat at any price. I have at times used my VTF-2 sub with a pair of my heresys just for goofing around. The sound is excellent and not that far behind my klipschorns. Heresys do need a subwoofer and they sound great with the VTF-2. Check out their website and read the reviews. Hopes this helps you a little.
  18. I Just moved this same question over to "Updating Older Speakers", thought it might be more appropriate there. Sorry
  19. HELP! Are there any mods to closer match the timbre or sound of the Klipshorns and the heresys? The heresy gives out a little smaller sound obviously. Just wondering if there is any mods that can be done to either the heresys or the klipschorns to narrow the gap. Right now they are both stock; the klipschorns have not been touched since I bought them in 1976. Any opinions would be appreciated. I did not check the history for any previous discussions on this topic, but I'm sure it has been brought up before.

  21. Marksdad, I finally got the B&K 507 set up last night. Did a little listening to the Onkyo before I disconnected it. What a huge difference! The clarity and dynamics on the B&K 507 are outstanding!! I am really impressed! Played some of my live music DVD's and the audience clapping on the Onkyo/Klipsch always gave me a frying sound, especially at high volumes. With the B&K the clapping sounds great, it actually sounds like an audience clapping. Also, I now hear detail on the DVD's I never heard before. I have a lot of work to do on setup yet, especially the remote, but it can only get better. I need to familiarize myself with the system a little more. I would recommend the B&K AVR507 and Klipsch heritage combination to anyone. Happly Dave here.
  22. Thanks guys for the information. Looks like I will be spending the weekend setting up the B&K!! Marksdad, is there any special things you had to change in the setup to make things sound better with the horns? Also, if you had the Onkyo 797, did you have the problem with the clicking like everybody else did? Onkyo fixed it N/C, but everyone I have talked to had the same problems with that receiver. Could be an exciting weekend!!!!!!!
  23. I have the chance to get a B&K AVR507 at a real good price! Want some opinions on how well the B&K works with the Heritage line. System is: K-horns(1976) for front left and right; Heresys(1977) for front center and back center; and Heresys(1980) for back left and right. Right now I'm using an Onkyo 797 receiver. All opinions appreciated. None of the speakers have any modifications done.
