  1. The first on your list is 10 watts/8 ohm, stereo and 30 watts in mono. Ten would probably be plenty for the H1’s. I don’t know the sub but isn’t it powered (internal amp)? If it’s not and for 600$ I’d double up and grab 2x. Their return policy seems it might be worth taking a chance. Although, I have never owned any of that “shite” 😉

  2. What I believe you’re hearing is the overall balance of the EL84 tube wired single ended. I’ve had several 84 amps SE and UL and they all have the characteristics of what you describe. Even now out of the blue a friend gave me a Dynaco ST35 EL84 based amp to listen for a spell. As good as any 84 amp I’ve owned, single ended or otherwise.

  3. I have wondered about a Decware amp for years, nearly pulled the trigger many times, never did until this week. Found a

Torii mk. iv and snapped it up. They don’t last long at all when for sale and if I don’t care for it, it will sell quickly. I admire those who wait a year and a half+ for a new build - enjoy the Dec.

  4. For shites and grins let’s say the kickstarter falls short of the goal for publication. Money is returned and no copies

are printed. For all the work and hardship(s) people have endured what sense does it make to basically call the

project a failure and publish nothing? We see “prototype” books, where it will be printed, on what materials, etc. and

yet it’s possible a tangible product gets the axe? This makes no sense -

  5. The last of my tube amps that I have been very hesitant to sell. Made by Vlad Bazelkov in Minnesota, these are by no means "your fathers" single ended amplifiers.

These are the second set of these I've owned along with owning the 6c33c powered monos three times.

This model, using this tube, is currently out of production; Audio Mirror makes only the 6c33c model selling for $5000/pr.

Powered by parallel 6as7's producing 20 watts per channel in single ended. Self bias. These are a premium build using German Mundorf caps.

Massive transformers, same as used in Vlads 6c33c powered monos, each block weighs 29 lbs. Will absolutely bring out any and all possible bass in your LaScallaa and

sound terrific with all Heritage models I've owned. Huge soundstage, think single ended on steroids. Dead quiet, head in the 402 quiet, this being at my home, my local power.

On Saturday the amps went through a thorough inspection by an extremely knowledgeable local tech I use and are in perfect electrical condition. All stainless steel chassis are dent free, maybe a small micro scratch here and there and are amazing to behold.

I have original boxes and inserts for safe shipping.

At my asking I will include - (as seen in the photo) A lifetime supply of power tubes, all Russian and US, no Chinese tubes.

    12x - 6h5c OTK Russian power tubes (6as7 equivalent)

    5x - RCA JAN 6as7 power tubes

    4x - RCA 6080 small bottle equivalent to 6as7

    2x - Sylvania 6sn7GT

    2x - Tung Sol Russian 6sl7

    2x - 6h9c Russian OTK (6sl7 equivalent)

I could go on and on however if truly interested PM for a  phone call. Additional photos will be emailed on request.

    Thanks

. For me, not a lot of difference between a PP tube amp and a good SS PP amp.

    - Absolutely - we do think alike. I occasionally think of buying another single ended with volume control because of their overall goodness, there’s really nothing like ‘em. But with owing a couple FW amps and Benchmarks I have little interest in a push pull, UL or pseudo triode tube configuration.

  7. I have no dog in this fight but why don’t one you that are affected call him out on AK? Many moons ago when AGon was the thing I was screwed, (the only time ever) by a “well known” amp builder. I trashed him via PM and on the site itself only to be censored by AGon. M’fucker still owes me 5 hun. He particularly was uneasy when I threatened to pay his home a visit while on business trips. I still have the f’kers address  -

  8. I’ve said this to other audio friends, most spouses have no clue of the entirety let alone the value of equipment in the home.

So, much like a will or trust you should keep a running inventory and value of your gear and be sure she knows where it is.

Also have friends who are knowledgeable and willing to assist in parting out the gear. Nothing in life, including life itself, has a guarantee. Be prepared. A good friend of mine recently lost both parents, albeit elderly, within days of one another.
