  1. I have more than enough people interested in buying just the decoder. So its safe to say that its already sold, pending I find a buyer for the speakers. However, if anyone is willing to buy the speakers and the decoder together that would work.
  2. Hey guys, Thanks for your interest. I sent you both a pm back. Just to get things moving along since I have some potential buyers for the decoder how about we simplify the listing a bit and make the sale for the Promedia Ultra 5.1 set with the spare satellite speaker for best offer.
  3. Up for sale is a set of Promedia Ultra 5.1 speakers as well as the Creative DDTS-100 decoder. I no longer use these items as they were sitting in a closet for the last year or so. Items are in good condition and since I hadn't used them in a while I made sure to test them out and everything works fine. I would like to sell both items in a single package. I might be willing to sell the decoder seperate, but I would prefer to find a buyer for the speaker set first. In addition to these items I do have a spare, never used, satellite speaker with its base. Also are a couple of pairs (4 total) of atlantic speaker stands that are relatively heavy. Both are a dark grey color, but one pair has some slight darker discoloring, but functionally they work just fine. These items will be offered to the buyer and either can take them at the additional cost of shipping or refuse either or all of the items. Price of the speakers won't change either way. If by chance the items are split up buyer of the speakers will have first choice after which the buyer of the decoder will have the opportunity to receive anything left. I would prefer a local sale around the DFW area, but I will be willing to ship. Buyer to pay all actual shipping costs. Paypal is preferred form of payment if item will be shipped. Prices: $265 Everything, $235 Speakers, $50 Decoder Pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/52625285@N07/
  4. Well I just saw a Promedia Ultra set on ebay in just about as good condition as mine go for $260 plus shipping. I really can't use it and for that kind of money I think these things are off to be sold. Now I will need to see what to do with the DDTS. From what Stocklone told me there isn't anything else out there that can do this thing, but I still haven't seen any for sale so I don't know how much its going to be worth on the market. Anyone got an idea of what I should ask for it?
  5. I'm assuming your talking about the volume control module for the speakers and not the DDTS decoder? If that is correct I will have to pass because without the conrol module the speakers really can't be used. Maybe one of those control modules will come up on ebay. I would like to just sell everything as one package or just keep it all and try to use it somewhere else in the house.
  6. I haven't used these speakers or decoder for quite some time and I'm currently debating on what to do with them. I was curious if I was to sell these what would a fair price be? I bought these back in college to use on xbox and my PC. These things have been great and I haven't had a single problem with them, but I graduated college and am no longer into PC gaming so I bought some pretty nice HT speakers and haven't used the Ultras since. I was debating on still keeping them for the office or maybe give them to my brother in law, but if they are worth a decent amount I may just go ahead and try to sell them. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks, Nate
  7. Hey guys, I've been on these boards for a while now, but only new to this section. I'm wanting to get my sister and her fiance a wedding present and I know they would really enjoy a home theater. Now the only question is I know of some brands and what not but not in my price range. Since I'm in college I'm running lower on cash and was wanting a system for about 400-450 tops. You guys have any suggestions? Also, the only hands on experience I have had is making my promedia ultras into a home theater setup, cost is about that price I want to say in and I really like it, but does anyone have another suggestion? The bad thing is I probably would have to get everything such as the receiver and speakers. Anyways, thx in advance.
  8. They sound pretty good, by the review. No pun intended. Wait.....Klipsch, Klipsch......ahhhhhhhh I'm running now. Wait, I currently own the ultras thats gotta count for something, not much though.
  9. Hey Ear/Anyone else, I just mention you because you first brought up "rockets". Since the flamming topics about other products have been going on I'll try to keep this short and whatever.... Anyways, whats your guys perspective on onix, especially their new reference series?
  10. This topic is probably one that could get heated pretty qucik due to possible ownership commitments. However, I was reading this topic and wondered what SVS did they compare the Klipsch's new THX subs? I may be wrong but were they compared to a low end SVS? I was wondering at what price the THX subs were going for? Also, how would a liked price SVS compare to these subs (taken into account that Klipsch did not compare the subs to an equal priced SVS)? Also, I understand the point of THX certification such as the extensive tests the product must pass, but at the end doesn't the certification only raise the price? Why not come out with a great product without the certification and offer it with a lower price, or are they just trying to get a good name out for themselves? I really like Klipsch, but I'm just not sure about all this THX certification stuff. I just thought it was a bunch of b.s. to make consumers buy certain products.
  11. well i bought a creative labs ddts-100 decoder that works great, would have bought klipsch to go with my ultras, but creative had more stuff. It decodes about everything you could imagine which is a plus, I like options. But that would be great if klipsch came out with their own and better one.
  12. You guys may hate me for metioning these since its a klipsch forum, but what about getting: sony xbr 40'-$1800 (tube-best possible picture and as big as they come, also check prices on net for cheaper) onix rocket ht package 2 - $2149 (or possibly different package) svs pb2+ - $1200 leaves you with about $800 or so to do whatever with. just to let you know, you can try both the onix and svs products in your home I think for 45 days to test them out, not much to lose, plus I have heard great reviews for these products. JMHO, good hunting. p.s. if still confused just send me the money.
  13. Hey EAR, since your so good at doing reviews you should get a new SVS and review it for us, then when your done just send the sub to me
  14. I was wondering, EAR what do you think about svs? any thoughts about any specific models or anything, heard the pb2-ultra or even b4+? p.s. how do these guys stock up even against that revel you mentioned earlier?
  15. Thought this might be interesting to share these thoughs, I'll start with mine, fronts-Onix Refrence 2 center-Onix Refrence 100 surrounds-Onix Refrence 1 sub(s)-SVS B4+ hopefully one day I can afford all this, but we shall see. of course, my dream system will probably change but for now this will do.
