  1. WOW! intense! Had never seen it before, so I decided to pick it up. What a great movie, well made. I watched it in German DTS mode with dub titles.. OMG the sounds are incredible. The sound of the sub when it buckling is insane.. also the lows in it, for example the explotions, the torpedo lauches, where just fenomenal.. my whole living room was shaking! definetly a must see.. especialy if you like feeling like your there. Its a little bit on the long side, and the first half is a little bit slow.. but then it gets pretty crazy. My SVS sub is fenomenal!
  2. how do you guys post the pics in series? without having to download them all the time? I have more pics to show!! heres a pic of my new SUB!!!!!
  3. 12hz sub causing intestinal problems? what type of problems?
  4. Hey Guys, Just got my SVS sub! OMG thats all Im going to say.. I wish I had other subs to compare it to, but this is my first sub, Well actually at my parents house theres a lifestyle35 but that doesnt count..(Yes, if I knew what I know now) Anyways, I set my fronts to Large and the rest to small and the cross over at 80hz.. and it sounds great. I have the sub set at 2/5 of the power.. Its sooo overpowered. The first time I powered it up and ran thru the THX intro on T2, my eyes went blurry with the bass!!!!(i had it set at 3/5 on the sub) OMG.. is this bad for my health? So, is this the way most people have it set? I was watching T2 and switched back from Large to Small on my mains.. and it definetly sounded better with the fronts speakers set at Large! I havent played around with the cross over .. Im getting my sound meter tomorrow. people with similar setups, let me hear how you have'm set up!
  5. "All the speakers were still in the sealed boxes!" Thats imposible! man.. have I been sheltered from all these low IQ people. Reading these stories is cracking me up big time... How can people that are this stupid manage their daily lives?(without running into cars or something)
  6. Guys, do you run your RF-3s on small on your receiver? I have my rear and center on small and my RF-3s on large, but once I get my SVS sub, should I leave it on large or small? Drew, I read that your still unsure, I would love to hear from more people out there!
  7. Once I get it, I'll definetly let you know! cant wait..
  8. Cant wait.. it should arrive Tuesday!! now to get some cool DVDs to try out the beast!!
  9. Hi, Im a total ignorant when it comes to DVD players.. I have a player which Ive been using for the past 3 years (Phillips Magnavox).. which I bought for 50$. Sometimes the player gets stuck and sometimes it cant read certain DVDs.. I'm tired of it, so the time has come to upgrade. Anyways, I just saw a listing of a refurbished Denon DVD-2800 unit for 256$, should I get it or wait.. will I notice a big difference between the 2800's Silicon Image/DVDO PureProgressive (SiI503) vs the newer Silicon Image/DVDO PureProgressive (SiI504)? My TVs best input is the S-Video.. does that mean that its not even worth getting a progressive scan DVD player? or should I stick to what I have until I upgrade my TV (SONY WEGA KV-27FS12)? I would like to spend mid-200s! Thanks a lot, JT
  10. ok, I ordered it.. total came to 54.28$ they have 38 in stock.. so once those run out.. everyone who has RF-3s is sh*t out of luck.
  11. Sorry, I was really mad yesterday. We have a cleaning lady that comes by, and she did it somehow.. We also had a guy that came by to check the AC, but he wasnt the one.. (I thought he did it) I was just really mad, because she didnt leave me a note, and she was aware of the damage. Im going to call klipsch now, hopefully they still have them. accidents happen.. I cant charge her for it either.. feel bad for her. 50$ is steep.. better include shipping and handling. Hey Jephdude, does your RC-7 center overpower your RF-3 towers too much?
  12. Where can I get a replacement Grill for the RF-3? Or Im I stuck with a broken Grill?
  13. Thanks for the advice, seems like I'll wait. I'm a little bit worried about getting the RF-7s.. because I know that I'll have to go for a whole all around upgrade! major cashola
  14. just curious if everyone here pretty much uses their setup to watch TV everyday... or if it is just used when playing serious movies? (DVDs etc) What about people with projectors? Do you use them everyday for normal TV watching.. or just for movies?
  15. Hello people, Just curious if its worth the upgrade? or perhaps i should just wait like a year or so and save more cashola for the RF-7s?
  16. What about SVS? Dual SVS CS-Ultras?
  17. "How about a retrofit kit with 'new' Reference-style magnetic grills for those of us who like to show off our cones?" Thats a great idea! You know, today I checked my speakers.. and one of my pins broke! Im soo mad btw, I had never really heard music without the grills, and I did today.. and to me, it made a world of difference! Is it me.. or do you guys also hear a big difference with the grill on and off? (I cant keep it off all the time.. I'm scared my cat will get curious )
  18. Get a nice SVS sub! I just called that audio place.. and they cant ship cross state lines.. I wanted to get another set of surround speakers.. to get the 7.1 channel going on.. Not sure if adding the RS-35 would match my current RS-3 s.. I know my RS-3 go lower than the newer RS-35s.. Hmm.. Maybe I should just buy some RS-3ii from ebay..
  19. Hi, where is the close out sale?
  20. Hello All, this is my first post in this forum. I am looking to buy a Klipsch RSW-10 Sub-woofer.. (to match with my RF-3, RC-3, and RS-3 combo, which I got at tweeter for 50% when they were upgrading to the RF-3II etc stuff 2 yrs ago!) I looked thru the web and found the sub at three different websites for 660.. brandnamez, acousticsounddesign, and sounddistributors. I also emailed my local klipsch dealers and told them that I was looking for that sub, and yada yada and looking for a good price.. and that I could get it for 660. They all emailed me back saying that they could never come close to matching that price, and that I should not buy from the web because Klipsch is cracking down on unothaurized dealers who are selling gray market or defective product. hmm What do you guys think? Do you buy stuff of the web.. I see that the stuff on the web does not have the klipsch factory warranty.. what is your advice? Should I pay like 900 at the store? so I can get a real sub? or Im I getting ripped with a sub-par copy of the sub in the web or is it all BS and the ones on the web are fine? and 2nd qs, what do you guys think about the sub?
