  1. Price reduction from my Audiogon listing to $425 shipped...
  2. These have just sold on anther forum....
  3. As someone who enjoys music as much as anything else in life, I listen to it on Vinyl, CD, SACD, DVD-Audio, Blu-Ray Audio, and DVD and Blu-Ray concert discs. Each has the potential to sound fantastic, depending on the quality of the the recording (and of course the gear used to play it back on). I don't really have a preference as long as it sounds good... [8] Having said that, there really is something special to me about vinyl. The whole process, from going to my favorite record store and spending a few hours looking through the bins and picking out LPs to purchase, taking them home and cleaning them in my Spin Clean system, taking photos of them to post in the "Right This Minute" section of the forum, and then playing them, is an extremely fun and rewarding experience for me!! 5. Here you go: [] Better hurry though, yesterday they were $299, and by tomorrow they may increase in price once again... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882780084
  6. Boxx, You are correct, this is very difficult to part with (probably more so than any piece of equipment that I've ever let go)... When I found this, I considered it a once in a lifetime score... And you know how much I loved to take photos of it to post in the "right this minute" thread... [8-|]

  8. Not my best photos, but anyone who knows me knows that I'm a no [bs], honest seller. If anyone wishes to see additional pics, just let me know... There are no blemishes on the sides, I had wiped it off with a damp paper towel paper and it wasn't completely dry yet.
  9. Here's a beautiful example of the classic Yamaha CR-1040 receiver. It is in near museum quality condition, and works perfectly. I have been using it every day in my main setup for 4 months, and it has performed flawlessly. The original owner passed away this spring, and it was inherited by his son, who I then purchased it from. It spent its entire life in the same enclosed cabinet and was used very little, and it shows. About the only thing I have been able to see that keeps it from being a near perfect example are a couple of very light "scuffs" on the top of the case. I am guessing it happened when it was removed from the cabinet it lived in, but they are not at all scratched into the finish, and they are hard to photograph, and hard to see to the naked eye. I am nearly certain these can be buffed out. Other than that, this thing looks practically brand new, with a perfect faceplate, straight edges on the cabinet, and no dings or marks of any kind. All the lamps & meters work, the controls are not noisy, and it is 100% operational. And oh yeah, it sounds fantastic! I didn't believe I would ever part with this, but a 7 month layoff has made it necessary. It comes with all the original paperwork: Product brochure, owner's manual, warranty card, and even the receipt dated 4/9/81. The only thing I didn't get was the original box, but I have extensive experience in packing electronics, and it will be packed very safely for shipping (as well as being insured). My price of $450 includes free shipping to the Continental US only. Postal Money Order/Certified Check Only. To eliminate the risk of UPS or FedEx damaging it during shipping, I am also willing to take a road trip (up to 150 miles each way from 14845) to meet up with a buyer. 10. Up for sale are my AKG K240 MKII headphones. They are 4 months old (used lightly for about 1 1/2 months) and in mint condition. Since moving to a place where I no longer have to worry about disturbing others with my music, I no longer need them. Included in the sale are the headphones, 2 cords (1 straight, 1 coiled), 2 sets of earpads (1 velour, 1 leatherette), and a gold plated 1/4 inch adaptor. My asking price is $85 shipped (Con Us only), and I can only accept a Postal Money Order/Certified Check as payment.

    What I Got Today!

...To celebrate making it to the half century mark I decided to do what I like best for the day, starting with a 262 mile motorcycle ride, a little over 200 of it was through some beautiful countryside, and mountains of Pennsylvania, on old Rt. 15... I saw some old landmarks I have not seen in over 20 years, and it was a wonderful trip down memory lane... [Y] Then, I stopped for pizza at my favorite pizza shop in the world in my hometown of Corning, NY... [pi] http://feistyfoodie.com/2011/06/06/aniellos-pizzeria-corning-new-york/ After that, I went home where I had a few close friends over for a couple beers... They have since left, so now, I'm going to listen to some tunes (and drink a few more beers)... All in all, it was a great 50th birthday!! Here are some photos I took on my ride today: This is so cool, it's an actual front end from a '58 Caddy... [H][Y]

    What I Got Today!

I ordered a Marantz CD5004 CD player (refurb) from Accessories4less last Friday, and it arrived yesterday. I've been watching it for awhile, first they had them for $249, then $229, and when I saw the price drop to $199, I decided it was time to pull the trigger... For 2 bills, it is a very nice looking and sounding unit. For anyone looking for a quality "budget" CD player, this one comes with my highest recommendation, and it would be very hard to beat for the money (IMHO)... [Y]
