C'mon, help ole Joe out, buy a speaker or two! Hope the transportation situation get straightened out soon Joe. Michael ---------------- thanks for the props mike no-one was hurt in the wreck, except the car that needs about 1200.00 worth of work to fix, and they are well worth the 750.00 i wouldnt sell except for the wreck the crossover you see in the pic is an AL it was in the scalas when i bought them, they are 1977 vintage and should have had the AA x overs so i bought a pair of original AA and sent them to bec and he rebuilt them there are actually 2 pair of crossovers available for the scalas, if a buyer wanted them i would include both pair as far as sound with the AA and the K55M i think they sing awsome sound, i have belles is the only reason i would sell these, i have over 1000.00 tied up in just the speakers,& X-overs, this doesnt count for my trip to new york to pick them up. so the 750.00 is a firm price, the car repair will wait before i lose any more than this thanks for all the interest Joe
  3. i have to agree that they are super easy to adjust i like the fact that the ports for the multimeter are right there on top and can actually plug the leads in nice and tight i have approx. 10 hours on these now and have enjoyed every minute so far, dont want to post an overall opinion till i get more ear time joe

If I needed anything, I'd help you out but I have heresys I don't even use. Good luck. ---------------- thanks for the words gary, i received the vrd's yesterday listened for around 3 hours so far all is well craig says they need 100 hours of burn in for the tubes to really singbass on the belles is a definate improvement with the vrd's trying to figure out the switch i think it is for triode and see what setting sounds better, imaging is better as well. do you have any kiss, zepplin, ac/dc in those excess albums of yours i picked up a couple mors jazz albums you may like , (the best of wes montgomery), (meeting at the summit, benny goodman plays jazz classics with leonard bernstein, aaron copeland morton gould, igor stravinsky) when do you want to get togeather for the amp comparisions and i will bring the jazz music up to you Joe

  10. people have no sense of right and wrong anymore, what happened to the days when a deal was a deal. i feel for you rick ive been there. i feel differently than some here i say the seller set the price and i agreed to meet that it is a deal, if the seller tries to jack the price up i wont buy his product at any cost after that, i actually had a guy with a car try this on me i left and 3 days later he calls offering it up at the original price. i told him to shove his car something these sellers have forgot (A BIRD IN THE HAND IS WORTH 2 IN THE BUSH) good luck rick i hope you get these if it is what you want Joe
  11. this was my thoughts also, i already filed a complaint with ebay, he has been suspended (unfortunatly for me it was 2 days after i sent the money order) i emailed him explaining i dont care if it cost me money i am going to press charges, and if he is allowed back on ebay i will definately leave negative feedback outlining the deal, i have been taken for this amount of money once before and failed to follow up, not again i want my cash back or my product NO MORE MR. NICE GUY thanks for the support suggestions Joe
  12. heres the deal, on june 1 i bought a collection of albums from a guy just over 200 miles away 350.00 , he cashes money order and says albums were shipped then says they were returned on the 11th of june, then says they were reshipped on the 15th , after questions he says would refund my money if not here by 30th, i have kept all his emails i have money order receipt, delivery confirmation receipt, etc... anyone know how to go about filing criminal charges against this guy. i called the DA in his county and i left a message with a detective awaiting a call back. the seller lives in pa and i am in md. Joe
  13. i am running a st 70 rebuilt by craig at nos valves, i use a blueberry also as a pre, i have heard garys mk 3's and the sound better than a 70 more bass punch and more output power, not that the 70 sounds bad if cost is a factor the 70 is an awsome amp for the money when rebuilt properly and usually sells for aabout 1/3 price of a set of rebuilt mk 3's joe
  14. hey lynn glad i could be of service, It warms my heart to know someone else has to go thru over 1000 albums PLEASE TELL ME YOU HAVE TO ALPHABATIZE AND RESLEEVE THEM AS WELL, MY WEEK IS NOT COMPLETE UNLESS I HAVE CAUSED LOADS OF MENTAL ANGUISH. Your faithful servant Joe
