  1. I work in the IT industry and have seen this problem before. Typically, the problem you experienced is the result of the Canon software / drivers. Many manufactures push products (software) out the door before completing testing. The reason they do this is simple (SALES = PROFIT). You may find an updated driver / software on Canon's web site that will fix your issue. However, if this doesn't fix the problem, I recommend un-installing the Canon software and using the built-in XP image transfer wizard. It is simple to use and works great with my Canon camera. This wizard will launch automatically when you connect a camera. But, you must make sure you don't have a vendor (Canon) software running which will disable this wizard.
  2. The new site is definitely an improvement in terms of; easy of use and functionality. It allows you to find a product quickly. It is my opinion that for a web site to be effective a user should at maximum need to click 3 links to find the information he/she is looking for. Anymore clicks then that you will find the typical user will give up their search.
  3. Thanks to all. If I'm understanding the comments so far, the RF-7's are a more natural sounding speaker in the mid-range area then the Forte II's. However, it is vital to get an amp that works well with these speakers. So I'll need to bring my amp to the dealer and listen to the speakers again.
  4. I am thinking of buying a pair of RF-7's, currently I own a pair of Forte II's (purchased in 94) and a pair of RF-35's. I know that there is a timber difference between the Reference series and the Heritage series. But, I would like to know what other members think. I primarily listen to Rock and POP music (i.e. Pink Floyd, Radiohead, etc) and I would use my current amp (Acurus A250) to drive them. Thanks.
  5. Based on my tastes, I would definitely go for the RF-35's. I like base in my music and the RF-35's will provide a much better bottom end.
  6. Yes, Harley is a great guy. I also get a nice discount when buying equipment. I have purchased Forte 2's, Rf-35's, KSP-C6 and Acurus amps from him.
  7. Audio Empire (Islington Ave. and Albion Road) sells Reference and Heritage Klipsch product lines.
  8. I have Forte II's and a Acurus A250 for my amp. I love the sound. However, this amp is not available anymore. I have heard the Rotel 1090 amp with Forte's and it's great or you can choose a Tube amp. Many on this form have recommended tube amps with Forte's.
  9. I own a pair of Forte II's and I noticed that the speaker cable you use can also effect the sound of the speakers. When I connect my Forte's using UltraLink Ambience cables the mid-range sound can be overwhelming at times. However, when I use ordinary 12 gauge copper cable the speaker seems to have a better mix between the bass and mid-range.
  10. I have seen and read many articles on this issue and the majority agree that Coax is superior to Toslink for sound quality. Personally I have never tried a Toslink link cable, I only use Coax cables. I did notice a large improvement in sound quality when I switched from analog cables to a Coax cables in source connections for DVD and CD players.
