I have a major problem in my living room with light. It's so bright that when I bought a 42" projection DLP TV I had a very difficult time seeing the picture on the screen. The only way to view the TV was to put a black curtain up over the bay window. Well the wife would have nothing to do with that she calle it the "bat cave" so I brought it back and got a 36" tube tv. Now at least I can view the tv with out having the living room look like the "bat cave".

Congrats on your Klipsch speaker purchase. The C-1 would be better a better match with the little satellites. I would go with the C-3 for the center and put the quintet center in the rear. The quintets don't get much respect around here due to the small size but I really like mine.

jcmjrt, Where did you get your CD recorder?

I should have specified. I have over 200 audio cassettes that I want to put on CD so I can listen to them in my truck. Can I use a DVD recorder to do this?

I have my KSC-C1 on top of my TV and there is no problem picture or sound wise.

Good! I thought that I would not have to subscribe to TiVo to get a DirecTv receiver with HD and TiVo to funtion just a plain old DirecTv receiver.

gcoker, that is what I am planning on doing. I have DirecTv service but HD and TiVo are in the future. I wanted to use the HD with Tivo receiver to get over the air HD channels and use it to get my regular DirecTv service for now and be ready for the upgrade to HD and TiVo later.

Do you have to subscribe to TiVo inorder to get a DirecTv/TiVo box to work? Is this also the same with an DirecTv HD box? I have a chance to get a couple of the boxes for a real good price.

Dale Earnhardt Sr at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia. He came over to check out the modified's and "said that thing is like a go cart with a V8!" The team I was their with sat around after race activity was over and sot the bull and had a couple of beeers. He was regular guy and a great story teller too. Hey we were camped next to them at the track. Dale Earnhardt jr at Nazareth Speedway in Pennsylvania. He and his crew met us for dinner. Jeff Gordon, Terry and Bobby LaBonte, Mark Martin. Darrel and Michael Waltrip, Richard Petty, Davey and Bobby Allison, Alan Kulwicky, Rick Hendrick, Jack Roush, and Bill France. But the best was Richard Childress at his shops in North Carolina a real down to earth guy that can talk about anything. Racing had consumed my life for 10 years as a machinist and general mechanic. It sure was fun. Now I just go once in a while and watch.

I would rather have my Quintets than B**e. I bought them knowing I was going to up grade, but the little buggers sound pretty good so I am not in a rush. I figured the sub and center was worth the $100. I am planning on replacing the fronts with either RF-35's or F-3's, leaning more towards the RF-35's. The Cinema 10 system is a better start than say B**e.

do the Klipsch Satellite speakers get such low respect? I have heard All the Klipsch Satellite systems. I am quite impressed with the sound that comes from these small speakers.

Does the Glock have an appropriate safety built into it? Why am Icarrying a loaded gun and what kind of message does this send to society and my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! Unless any of you "average" homeowners have been in a hostile situation(person or animal) you have no way of konwing how you would react to a threat. There are training classes for the general public and some very goodone at that. That explain and show how to deal with a hostile situation. My suggestion is for you to take one and see and feel what goes through your mind in that instant. Society in general is good. There will always be a few bad apples both human and animal. As humans we have the ability to rationalize. As an American Citizen our History and Heritage shows that we have rights and obligations to ourselves and others. You have a right to Life, Liberty and the pursuite of happiness, vote, choose your religion, choose your own career, drink alcohol, smoke(cigars/cigaretts), own a home, eat what you want, drive a car, own a gun and a long list of other things as well. I'll be damned if I am going to lest some one that has no respect for the rights of myself and my family take them away. You don't have to like or agree with my hobbies or life style. After all I may not agree with yours. That does not give me any rite to take them away from you. And you have no right to take them away from me. You live your life the way you want to and I will live my life the way I want to. As Americans we have become "fat, dumb and happy". Driving our $50,000 SUV's, Living in our $500,000 homes and thinking that nothing can take any of that away. We are so wrong and should be very thankful for what we have. Open your eyes and look around the world better yet look around our own country.

The .454 Casull does a fine job on any animal I could come into contact with. The pitbull breed is very nasty indeed. Something needs to be done!

For a Satellite speaker system it sounds great. The Cinema 10 is even better still. I have Quintet sat's and to me the sound is quite good.
