  1. Looks very nice. If you were to invite me over for a movie and I walked in a saw such a setup, I would be thrilled and delighted. Nice work.
  2. I so wish they sold these here in the states. I would love to show these off! comjangsoo.co.kr/acecart/bin/photo/F3-system.jpg My take is that since they are built in china that they can make more choice of colors and not worry about supply problems. Or, they dont want the synergy to cannabalize the sales of reference by offering similar looking products.
  3. Wow, not a single person can think of a good set of stands. Unreal!!!
  4. I know this is an old thread but i thought Id put in my two cents. As working for the company in question I can say this. On one hand it is difficult for our store to maintain our display for two reason: 1. customers always screw with our setups. 2. The switch box that controls what speakers is putting out sound is a steaming pile of..... And on the other... It's the store responsibility to represent EVERY product it sells in a presentable light for the customer to make his/her decision to which is best. Also, Our store has made some sweet changes to our "listening room" We now have a audio room that is sound proofed off from the rest of the store so that customers can really crank it without disturbing the rest of the employees and customers. So i guess my point is that (at least in the case of my store) things are looking up to help get klipsch on the map of every day joes.
  5. So I was wondering if anyone had a reccomondation for a pair of speaker stands for a set of B3's. I didn't realize this till just yesterday but some models have a keyhole on the bottom to secure them to the stands. The B3's have no such keyhole for mounting. So if any one eles has had succes with a these speakers and a specific model or type I would love to know before I pick up just any ol' stands.???
  6. I also went through a similar experience. I had a sub-10 for about the same amount of time, aprox 8 months. I think it was the amp cuz it made a horrible crackling sound about 5-10 minutes into playing anything. Best Buy repair center is fairly good for fixing speakers under warranty. As long as they can't determine it was caussed from abuse, they will more than likely replace the entire speaker.
  7. Iva had my system since early 2002. Some of that time it's sat in my storage unit and a couple of the sats have cracked. I purchased some 5.1 Ultra sats as replacements and everthing is still jamming hard. I can honestly say that I'm extremely happy with my purchase. This one set of speakers has started a love for klipsch thats as addictive as crack. I will never pay for anything besides klipsch. Everyone that ask for a HT reccomondation gets told to get klipsch. and it all started when i walked into a pawn shop, saw the 4.1 on the counter for 115 bucks and nearly crapped my pants.
  8. TheEar, I think thats very good to know. My only gripe was the impression that the sub-12 having a dow firing driver was at a somewhat disadvantage.
  9. Curious, didn't the sub have some rubber pads that can attach to the feet? I used a sub-10 on my hardwood floors with the rubber feet and the sub never moved. I also setup an entire F-2 package at my sisters house with a yamaha 5850. The crossover was set at default at 100hz but then i manualy set it at 80hz also matching the sub crossover to 80. I recently used a rca Y-cable and found that it did increase the overall output. And with the sound card, are you using a optical/coax out put? If you are then the crossover is all in the receiver, not the card.
  10. I can understand your frustration with having gone through all this trouble. I too recently sent in a sub and had to pay a shipping charge, Had to wait a couple weeks and I too had to go out of my way to inquire about service status. Not only did I get my sub fixed, I got it replaced and it happened in a super efficient manner. Aside from my personnal experience you stated yourself that Klipsch is a large company and such large companies have many customer repairs. Also keep in mind that the Klipsch repair center wont always have all parts available at any given time. I work for Best Buy in the computer repair center and have seen personnally that large companies have a large customer base. On one hand I can see your frustration but on the other your not the only customer that has had this problem. I also think that 60 Bucks for a new replacement sub is a fantastic deal condering that Klipsch will more than likely toss your old sub in the garbage. It's their loss and your gain. You say "out of warranty"? Considering that your warrently is expired, many other companies would charge you full price for a starit out replacement. Despite the time delays, I think you got a great deal on getting a replacement sub for 60 bucks.
  11. I have a kinda chinsey but still working Pioneer reciever and the lowest crossover of 100hz. My question is this, Do I still have to manually adjust the crossover on the sub to 100hz or is the sub bypassing the internal crassover when using the LFE input?
  12. SO yeah, I'm kinda cheaping it for the moment. I just got some F2's and they sound great despite what the speaker freaks think. But i'm waiting on getting the S2's and the C2. I'm using some Sats from a promedia 5.1 ultra as the surround and the 5.1 center as obviously the center. I know that the center is really weak compared to the C2 but is going to the S2's really that big of a deal? I can save some cash if the difference is not that big.
  13. Actually in order to get any sort of discount at BB for klipsch anything you have to do a employee accommodation thru Klipsch to get any speaker. After reading all these posts i'm almost regreting getting my Klipsch speakers. I almost wish i got the JBL E80 for the same price. Instead I got the F-2's for like 260 with no tax or shipping. I was totally stoked about getting some Klipsch after having some crap for so long. The main reason I got these over the JBL was solely name. I was a big fan of Klipsch since i had some promedias. I should have gotten something different. damn
