Good lord!!!!!!! You give these guys $5000 to set you up with a 2 channel? I'm surprised you don't have 100 ideas an hour. []. Retail is good for warranty, but alot of these guys could get you sounding alot better, and LOUDER with second hand. toodles

It's not the greatest in the world, but for easy setup for your average HT it's a good deal. I know monster cable is over-rated. I always used extension cords.[] toodles

I just got it in the mail. I ordered it Friday. It doesn't say the gage anywhere but it weighs about 6.7 pounds. If I was to take a guess....12..14 maybe. It's pretty nice. I'm not one to spend alot of money on wires but this is a good deal. It has the billyjoe seal of approval.[] toodles

Yep Jay and Drwho helped me plan my first sub. I'm not finished yet, still waiting on some parts so I don't know whether they are playing me like a puppet just to get me to spend alot of money[] or if they are experts.[]The program they are talking about is a tad intimidating at first. Lots of numbers. Boring if you are not into the tech of the sub I guess. Reading other threads helps ALOT. Numbers don't lie. Math is the language. Too bad I slept during that class. By the way Jay, Kyle got back with me today. Should be 2 weeks on the PR's. He gets his amps from parts express, so I was a day late and a nickel short. I'll have to wait. toodles.

One good thing is that they posted the cut out dimensions with it and the PR's, so I can get started on that. The wife has stuck her two cents in on this little project. She is HGTV, TLC happy. All the home shows. She was wondering if I could " put a finish on it that would blend in the room " I told her I would think about it. Finish really doesn't matter to me so I don't care just as long as I can wake the dead. toodles

Some good news I think. I did a search for the amp and acoustic visions where I just ordered the PR's sells them also and it says they are available. I emailed them to see if they have them so I can add them to my order. Woohoo. toodles

wanna here some more troubles for me? I've been waiting until payday to get my amp and wouldn't you know it.....It has been on sale for $328 for the last couple weeks, now the price is back to normal and they are out of them until march 20. I keep waiting to see when the dog is going to hike on my leg and make it really suck[] I haven't done a search yet, but any ideas on a reputable place for the Dayton 1000 watt amp besides parts express? I still haven't heard from that company about my order on the PR's. I emailed them and cancelled it yesterday. With a note about costumer service. I'm sure they will send them in about a month and say they didn't get my cancel. Oh well. I ordered them from the above metioned company. toodles

What would be the difference if I got the ones on sale vs. the pr15-700's that were recommended? It could save me half the money there. I was getting ready to order the 700's and seen these on sale.

YEA!!!!!!!!! Just found out today that I am getting a small bonus to be mailed out friday. It's only about $400, but it will pay for my amp. It's funny how things work out.
