  1. Nice pickup Cal. Those look awesome for the price. If you want to make any grills, let me know. I just overbought some black grill cloth (Duracrest #17) if you need any.
  2. Showed up on Audiogon this morning. $360 OBO. They got banged up in shipping but don't look too bad. Local pick up only in W. New York.
  3. Hey MagicDouche, I know its not a 90 year-old widow, but you may be able to take advantage of this guy, sounds pretty gullible to me if the sucker is going to fix one of the drivers. Money to be made so buy and sell.
  4. Although it is not the name of a band, this must qualify. Remeber the chick-band music festival, Lillith Fair?? My buddy coined the term "Vulvapalooza". I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever heard at the time. I told him to copyright that name.
  5. A wicking (low viscosity/water-thin or 5 centipoise) CA (cyanoacrylate/Super Glue) will work. You would want to use a 22 or 24 gauge tip to control the flow and move it along the crack to avoide excess adhesive on the outside of the glass.
  6. Thanks for all of the replies fellas. My wife will have the van back about 6 EST. I am going to take the seats out to move some boxes to the new house and will get a good measurement.
  7. yup. Good albun with 2 or 3 great songs. I need to get another copy of that, it got snagged years ago.
  8. ---------------- (Begin thread drift) Well, two of the members, Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard, played in Mother Love Bone. Prior to that they were with Mudhoney, and prior to that they were part of Green River. Green River was, to my knowledge anyway, more or less the beginning of the whole "Seattle scene" of the late '80s and early '90s. At any rate, Ament and Stone were the only two members of MLB that came forward into Pearl Jam, but it is because of them that Eddie Vedder appears with Chris Cornell and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden on the "Temple of the Dog" (a good funny name in itself) memorial project for Andy Wood, lead singer of MLB, who killed himself with a syringe. Now I always thought "Pearl Jam" metaphorically equates to male creative energy. I'll leave it to the reader to make that connection . . . (End thread drift) There was a hometown band called Vomit Launch in my college town, and they actually got a video on MTV. Not a bad name for this topic. They often played with another local favorite, Brutilicus Maximus. ---------------- That is pretty much the history. While you are on the subject, what was the band and album that Mike McCready was in in the mid-90.
  9. Thump on this forum can help you with that. I am picking up some fortes this weekend and am going to stack them after rolling klipsch doobies using cardboard boxes. It will be the best thing to protect them. I would use the comforters as secondary protection.

It also helps that she is only around a mile away so move will be easy. ---------------- I obviously can't compete with the long, blond hair or being local. I do have a big round *** though, lol
  11. Another fave: dirty sanchez go to urbandictionary.com and check that one out, lol
  12. I can't believe nobody has mentioned: The Dead Kennedys
  13. Squirrel Nut Zippers are from Chapel Hill, NC a few miles from me and are a great live band (who isn't, right ) Along with another local favorite: Southern Culture on the Skids
  14. My new favorite, a good hard rock band: ....and you will know us by the trail of dead
  15. Have you seen Hootie doing the Burger King Commercials? Hilarious. How fall they have fallen. I have a number of friends that went to South Carolina during their heyday in the early 90's. They probably signed the worst deal in history for the number of albums sold.
  16. I am NOT going to get these speakers. If they were within 5 hours I would do it, but 10+ is not going to happen. If antbody is interested, speak up. Otherwise they will end up on AGon or eBay in the next couple of days.
  17. I am listening to Ween from 2002 Bonnaroo Festival. Awesome version of Mr. Richard Smoker and Albino Sunburn Girl. On deck: Wilco live recording from Chicago.
  18. Well said Sputnik. Screw it, this clown is a waste of time. I would hate to see anyone get into any trouble or lose a dime trying to spite this guy.
  19. I have seen a few that crack me up. I'll get it started with my three current favorites (names only): Spongeworthy Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles Nashville *****
  20. It's funny, I was talking to a guy last night that helped me regarding packing of huge speakers. He is a big seller on eBay and I explained the situation to him. He replied that this is America and blah, blah, blah. Then I further explained how this whole thing was blatant abuse of the forum and what its about. In addition, this a****** is coming back in to rub everyone's face in it. Finally, I asked him: "What's worse than that?" His response was classic. He said: "Being him, that's what. Imagine being that guy." He was absolutely right. Imagine being that prick, MagicSky. The thought made me cringe. Enjoy your profit, scumbag. Now go back and prepare your trailer for hurricane season.
