She already knows how to use that cuteness, too. But I'm a hardnosed Dad, I don't let her get away with anything; well, unless those big eyes start welling up like little pools....you know, where they just fill up and no tears start to stream for a few moments....ok, THEN I let her slide, oh and when she says "I love you daddy".....ACK, who am I kiddin, I'm a big softey. -

That's it, I'm out. There's no more sport in this. Nice pic(s). Nice subwoofer. Nice $365,000 statue. Nice little husky and elephant statue. Nice PS One. Good reflexes on the LMAD recording(and quick thinking, then or now, whichever the case may be) -

How did you tape the show ? Great point Willy. It just so happens that the last episode of Let's Make A Deal, herinafter referred to as LMAD, was aired on July 9, 1976. Incidentally, Family Feud took over that slot. Anyhoo, video cassette recorders did not become readily available until the late 70's, around 1978, and were horribly expensive. Perhaps he used a Super 8 camera and recorded the sound on a tape recorder(which were fairly mainstream at that time). I remember my dad had a "Brownie", a Kodak 8mm camera, and the big ole' "spotlight". My sister had those old tapes put on VHS and its funny to see us all get blinded when Daddy would film us. Ah, those were the days, great footage of old Folly Beach Pavillion. And no sound. Fantastic. -

Wow, that's quite a statue! I got my tax bill a few weeks ago and my house was assessed at $318,000, of course we all know the assessment is lower than what you could actually sell it for. The house 2 doors down just sold for $365K and is pretty much equal square footage-wise and was built by the same builder so I could expect similar numbers. Tell ya what, I owe about $180K on my house. Let say I can I give you the house and $185K and you give me the statue and that candy a$$ subwoofer and we call it even? Of course this is open for negotiation. Let's make a deal, Monty(Hall) EDIT: I didn't mention, but I'm going to need you to throw in the little Husky/Malmute doggie statue cuz that one statue isn't quite enough, and that subwoofer certainly doesn't help make up the difference. I was at the flea market on US 1 and there were 2 mexicans fighting over that exact statue. I left because I felt unsafe and a good thing I did, as I was told that they exchanged gunfire in the parking lot over it. Peace -

that's funny. those stautes your oak ent. cabinet and your wall paper looks like Aunt Bea's decor. Did you see the one where Bea thought Andy bought her a lovely bed jacket, only when she and Clara saw him buying it he was actually getting it for the mayor's wife, then when AB got the preserve jars instead, she cried, but Andy figured it out (with the help of Clara) and had to wake up the mayor and then traded his lucky fishing rod for the bed jacket then at the very end he told Opey a touching story about doing the right thing. I actually cry every time I see that one, almost like when I see this pic. Oh man, I can see it now, I just cleansed myself and now, by the end of the year, I'm gonna have to do another apology post again. -

"*Live*, released, box sets, greatest hits and the like not allowed." ** -for that one, you'll now be constrained to choices from the Jim Neighbors (Gommer Pyle) album library. [] Rock Hudson would be proud

No doubt. I remember when I was 16 or so being, how do I say this......high the first time I saw it at a friends house. We all tried to figure out what that black thing was and damn how we laughed

and the Lemon Song, What Is and Should Never be, oh dammit, can I change my vote?

never underestimate the power of one vote. One little vote jacked up PG 16.7%. Powerful stuff.

Was good. Lynne and I spent the night at the Boardwalk Inn on Wild Dunes, while the kids stayed at grandma's on John's Island. We watched some fireworks from the balcony and later hit the IHOP; Lynne had popcorn shrimp, I the pigs in a blanket. How do they get those sausage in the pancake like that? NYD we went back to mom's and I hooked up her DTV HD receiver. It was kickin my a$$, couldn't get a signal from the sats, I was about to give up then I found some diagnostic menu, it led me to the fact that I did not have the sat cable hooked up at the receiver. Well, I got it going and it looks great. A couple of my sisters/kids /husbands were there, it was like old times, except for the absence of our mysterious trips to the store(we finally told my mom why we would pack into the car and "go to the store" all those holidays). Oh well, my brother in law and I came to the conclusion that we now need to monitor OUR(his can drive) children "going to the store" now. Enough about me, what did ya'll do? Oh, and not to complete decimate this thread, nice cones bro, they're really shiny and coppery. One thing though, it is spelled cerametallic, not cerematallic, as in a cross between ceramic and metallic, kinda like brunch or Bennifer. -

i'm tall and slim, but i like beautiful, solid, wide girls who can sing and only do so when asked to. -
well, Mom lives on Johns Island, Sis One on James Island, Sis Two in North Charleston and Sis Three in Bummerville, so maybe the sitter thing's covered. Now all I gotta do is get the wife outta the house. We are, however going to spend New Years Eve/Day with my mom. She got a new HDTV and our gift to her was a DTV HD receiver. I guess I gotta hook all that up on Sunday. Lynne Pricelined a hotel and got the Wild Dunes Resort for $69 for Sat nite. Maybe we can bring mom to MAgs on Sat. You workin? Can a 5 year old and a 12 year old manage at a place like that? Maybe we would tip more for the extra clean up.

Poll: Should Klipsch sell the THX 120 subs to The EAR?
wstrickland1 replied to Tom Adams's topic in Home Theater
If you had pressed the down arrow next to the "yes" response, you would have seen the "no" selection. I did just that and still there is not a "No" option just yes but hey that is ok, let him buy them. Hey Tom, sometimes they work great, other times the "funny" can be out-thunk. FWIW, I got it. -
you been payin' off the busboys again?
