Just goes to show you can't trust a "study".I've got a few plants that are over 20 years old and have rocked all their life. This sounds like the Mythbusters episode where they did the study on exactly that, seeing if plants like to be yelled at or talked to softly. I'm pretty sure they discovered it didn't matter.
-
You seem to know what you're talking about, any specific plants I should look for that have a better chance of living inside a house without direct sunlight?
-
Oh yes, Outlaw audio very good home theater stuff.
-
So do they have to be real plants or can they be artificial with the same effect? I have a history for killing plants inside and out of the house.
-
Ok what is the deal with plants and audio? I see it all the time, expesually when cruising around audiogon, I see some high end speakers and 2 out of place ugly looking plants beside each speaker, so tell me what is the deal? Is it another snake oil trick that makes them sound better? Plants boost your sensitivity +6dB? haha

Denon AVR-2807?

picky uses a Tripp-Lite LCR2400 rack mount.

Obviously the Cornwalls are BIG, it wouldn't be so bad if they wern't so wide but they are WIDE. And they are pretty expensive as well. Anywho. I've been told that the new Heresy III sounds relatively the same as the Cornwall III minus the low end, how true is this? I want some Hertiage and so does my NAD. And I'm getting embarrassed running F-3s with all this sexy gear. I keep on thinking I should just keep the F-3s but I know I'm missing so much by keeping them. But it's rather hard for me with no way to demo any Heritage products.

Another product to make Apple whores think their iPod is a true audiophile device?

A buddy showed me the line of APC line conditioners yesterday that I had no clue even existed, they look pretty amazing. At first I thought they were a tad overpriced for a line conditioner but then realized they also have a automatic voltage regulator which from companies like Monster cost about 3x the price. http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=307 The cheapest I could find the H15 was for $330 shipped from provantage.com Anyway, I was almost going to buy a PureAV PF40 but decided to hold off, I wonder how this compares? One thing I really like is it's available in black to go with the rest of my components, the PureAV is only available in silver.

Sony PS3 Play Station 3 60GB Premium model
RTTR replied to iwillwalk's topic in General Klipsch Info
After I heard the next Gran Turismo game coming out on the PS3 is just going to be called GT HD and basically just be GT4 with improved graphics and the addition of Tourist Trophy motorcycles, I totally lost intrest in the PS3. GT series is just about the only game I bought my PS2 for. Of course there were some other games I liked but mostly just GT. -
Does anyone have a pair of Heresy's on stands, or just a picture of them on stands, I'm really curious to know what they look like.

The rack finally came today and boy is it heavy. CD player and line conditioner will be here next week. It looks a lot better then it did with the stuff on the floor but I messed up the speaker cables, I made them 5' each but I have enough left to do 7.5' each which will fix it. http://www.0x3g3n.com/tweek/audio_system/DSC_0123.jpg

NAD C542 is a no go, how about the Cambridge Audio Azur 640c?

Why buy something for a dead technology, can you honestly make a list of HDCD and SACD's that goes past 2 pages? -

I found a place called Harvey Home Entertainment, they are located in Manhattan. They are an authorized dealer according to NAD's website, has anyone heard of them? They look pretty good. I can order the C542 online from there. -
True, I will find something else I need. Here is a little rough layout of where it will be placed Picture I fixed up the speaker cables last night, 5' lenghts, instead of 15' per speaker. MUCH nicer instead of coiled up on the floor.

I would upgrade to the Heritage now, but if I did it now I'd like to sell the F-3s. With no original boxes, and the small country town I live in, I don't think that will be happening.
-
After many set backs, all the components are finally ordered. To finish it off I added an NAD C542 CD player, PureAV PF31D line conditioner, and VTI AGR-405B glass/metal rack. Along with the stuff I had, NAD C162 Preamp, C272 Amp, Synergy F-3's and some cables...Belden and Canare stuff. All that equipment is rather hardcore for some basic F-3s most of you might be thinking, but I have plans to get some Heritage in the near future (6 months possibly), as for now I feel the system is complete.

Clarence, congrats on the new bike. We seem to be having a matching game going on. We both have the same NAD components, we both have Klipsch, we both have Specialized bikes (don't have it yet, putting in order next week)
-
Anyone ever heard an NAD C542 beside the Azur 640C?
-
You live in dream land too?
-
WOW sweet bike! Are those DISC brakes? That thing is more expensive than alot of peoples CARS! Have phun! Yeah, Avid Juicy 7 Hydraulic, very similar to what you'd find on a motorcycle, just scaled down obviously. You can see the hydraulic fluid reservoirs on the levers

I'm not really into road bikes but since we are on the topic of bikes. I'm putting the order in for a 2007 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Expert in about 2 weeks, I'm stoked. I haven't had a bike upgrade in about 8 years, I ride a Trek hard tail now. Retails for $3400, the shop will sell it to me for $3200. Specs. http://www.leisurewheels.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b0s1p1602 Some nice pictures. (My blog) http://mtnbikingaddict.blogspot.com/2006/08/new-07-stumpy-pictures-courtesy-of.html
