  1. Trey Are you saying the F-2's outperform the F-3's? Would you say the F-2's are comparable to a speaker in the Reference line?
  2. My NAD separates are getting bored of powering my F-3s, I need something new for my music system. I'm leaning towards a new pair of Cornwall III's or maybe some RF-83's, I also have the La Scala III's on the back of my mind. I'll audition them all next month but it's your call. I haven't decided what I'll do with the F-3's, probably won't beable to get much for them if I sold them.
  3. Glad you are enjoying them!! I totally forgot about Radio Shacks copper cable price gouging, that cable used to be $2.50 now it's $5? Also their basic USB cables are now $35 for a 12' cable!
  4. Welcome back RTTR! long time no see! Like the avatar? Maybe you can help me, what kind of cable connects the 12v trigger between the components? Does it come in the box? Thanks! Nah, doesn't come with the 12v trigger cable in the box, I went to Radioshack and bought a 6' (too long but works) mono 1/8" to mono 1/8" cable, there is a direct link to it in my system profile.
  5. I think I still have the pics somewhere of the C272 with the cover off. I'll try to find them.
  6. Great choice on the NAD, I've had my C162 and C272 for a few months now, absolutely love them. I'll eventually get the C542 and maybe one day work my way upto some Cornwall III's as well, but for now I'm running a pair of F-3s
  7. The dog doesn't really seem to be bothered by it, i'm just affraid that if/when the surgery is done the eye will have to be removed and I'm not sure if I can bare looking at him the same way. Life sucks, so much bad stuff happening in my family lately, my dads leg surgery, my dog, my sister getting pregant with her husband that can't even support her, it's like a bad Lifetime made for TV movie. Anyway no more stories about my life... that's it, like Jay told me, this is a speaker forum, let's talk speakers.
  8. Winter? What winter this is southern TN, no snow just around 30F for the lows but it's usally in the high 30's for most part, and I ride my mountain bike in that. I haven't gotten a buyer for the Jeep yet, and haven't really put it on the market yet, I called Vespa of Memphis well actaully I emailed them about the GTS 250 and they said they are in VERY VERY high demand right now as are all the other models they sell, there is currently a long waiting list for them, so going on Tuesday I most likely will be ending up putting a deposit on one or something.
  9. Here is the thing 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4, worth about $12,000 right now 2006 Vespa GTS 250ie about $6200 after tax and title Insurance payments cut in HALF, gas payments cut even more then that. you get my drift. This thing will be a life safer. What does that mean? I will have about $6k cash left over if I can sell it for what it's worth, ta da. Everyone will be happy, sing and dance. Buying a new toy? Heck no, this will be my only mode of transporation, rain or shine. And some of are are seeming to forget that the Rega turntable thing wasn't if ever going to happen for atleast 6 months. I also had plans to buy a NAD CD player this week but unless I can sell that Jeep and get some extra cash that won't be happening either. So before you all start to gang up on me again, maybe you should all read thoes things on how this one little scooter will help me BIG time. Jumping to conclusions doesn't get anyone anywhere.
  10. Thanks to Clarance, I'm going to my local Vespa dealer on Tuesday to look at the GTS 250ie, in a recent post by me he brought up the scooters I talked about on my blog and asked if I ever ended up getting one. I didn't end up getting one thinking the Jeep would probably be a good thing to hang on to, and it's gotten really expensive to drive so I think the scooter thing might be happening after all. 80mpg you can't argue with that. Not to mention it will literally cut my insurance payment in HALF. Plus I will look cool riding it you know that
  11. I'm so tempted man, I really want a Vespa 250 G.T.S. for the 80mpg
  12. Ohhh yeah, my blog, I totally forgot about that, hahah, I need to shut that thing down, I don't even use it anymore. But thanks for pointing that out Clarence, that's probably where they are coming from. UGH
  13. rant Started about 2 weeks ago I get 2-3 emails a week from different email addresses saying stuff like "I had NAD gear before I traded it for Rotel, Rotel is so much better" or "look at Rotel gear it's the best" If these emails are from someone on this site, cut it out, I DO NOT care. There was a reason when I picked NAD over Rotel in my audition. /rant I think I know who it is, and Jay has the assumption also that it's the guy Klipsdude that got banned recently for 5+ aliases and went off on my cause I said Rotel lacked detail. That would also explain why I've gotten emails from 3 different addresses about the same subject. hmmmmmm
  14. It's my parents dog, and the turntable thing won't be happening for a 6 months if not a year, it's a big thing to dive into.
  15. I have my motherboard bios set to give off a warning at 45C and shut off at 55C, I never reach half thoes temps normally but if my pump and or radiator fan failed, I know my CPU and video card won't get fried.
  16. My parents are going to go ahead with the operation in 2 weeks. So all will be good, hopefully

    F-3 question

Like Jay said, I get very good bass extension out of my F-3s for all types of music, I think in part due to the NAD's very good bass reproduction, it was kind of flaky on my old Pioneer receiver, and yeah I do only use the F-3s for my 2-Channel music system. No insane 16hz movie bass through my speakers so I don't know how they would perform for that. EDIT: Also I run the tone controls on the NAD preamp set to zero.
  18. Mmmm water cooling. Here is my setup. D-Tek Pro-120 Radiator, Swiftech MCP655 Pump, Swiftech STORM CPU Water Block, Danger Den 3-1/2" Reservoir, Swiftech MCW55 VGA Water Block, Valvoline Zerex Racing Super Coolant, Tygon 1/2" ID Tubing, Delta 120x38mm Fan .Bad picture but here. And here is a link to the rest of my PC specs click Picture of some of the parts, minus the reservoir and some other small things

    F-3 vs RF-3

I will say this, the only buyers remorse I have about buying my Synergy F-3s is the fact knowing that I bought them at Best Buy, it probably wouldn't bother the average person but even though I love the sound of the F-3s paired with NAD and my old Pioneer for that matter it just makes me feel like I got a lower end speaker because I bought it at Best Buy and not some small brick and morter audio store. I know I'm just being picky.
  20. Well I guess I'm not very good with rolling the punches, every time I say something, I get flamed even more for it.
  21. You sound exactly like someone that used to be on here and got banned. What was his name? Klipsdude or something. But anyway, I'm done with this thread, I didn't create it so I could get bashed, flamed, and called a whiner. Over a stupid little turntable. Amy you can do whatever you want with it, delete it or lock it....whatever. You are showing your young age RTTR, calm down, you should reread your post, I don't think it came out the way you intended it to, that's why people jumped on you, your choice of words could have been better thought out, alot of members are PARENTS. I don't feel welcome here anymore, I don't think I will be coming back. Cya all.
