  1. INXS

    Next:

"But the sun is shining down on me

    And it's here to stay

    That's why I'm telling you "

EDIT: Okay, here's a hint. The part that says "And it's here to stay" should be sung like "And it's here to stay... yay... yay...yay..."

2nd EDIT: I am surprised at you all! "Put my faith in the people, and the people let me down." [;)]

  2. Many of you have said how he was cheated of life - being cut down at only 40. I agree, but for some perspective, he lived more in his 40 years than many will live in 80. Imagine being a Beatle. Also, I doubt he would have ever equated his death with the day the music died. I doubt, also, he would want anybody to remember him for his early death and have sad thoughts. He's better remembered for his life and not his death. There will never be another John Lennon. That's for sure.

  3. Michael, you're gonna get this one. I don't know why your searches bomb half the time. But here's what you do - and this is not cheating:

Google search: lyrics "pictures at eleven." A bunch of matches will come up. Some of those lyrics pages will list the names of the songs in the album, and the song names are links to the lyrics of each of those songs. Just go through each song real quick.

Now, you should get the answer in 3 minutes or less, and you can post a new challenge. Because you knew (or thought) it must be on 1 of 2 albums, you can solve without having to search on any of the lyrics themselves.

EDIT: Okay, Michael. Negative 8 minutes. Now, that's a record!

  4. Hey Jeff---

Your thread inspired this one,, but its different---

This one is a test of your memory of classic rock played on the radio at some time. To me, this ones more fun!

It has become more a test of your memory, and less a test of your record collection. I started this one when yours was about page 22, and I saw so many of the lyrics up for guessing were songs I had never heard -- nor artists I had ever listened to--

--so this one was born. And you only need to guess artist OR song to make the next challenge-- no time limits. And you police yourself--

And, both of these threads share many of the same players anyway-

--aren't you at 39 pages yet? thats amazing!!

Why don't you bag yours and start playing this one? LOL

    Okay, I bagged it... NOT.

I didn't notice the 2 distinctions (artist OR song) and (radio play). Like the radio play, but the artist OR song?

BTW, Texas Ron's avatar looks like the album cover for Genesis' "Foxtrot." [:P]

  5. Bad Boys, Bad Boys. What ya gonna do? What you gonna do when you post a tune?

Michael got it right but bailed. Sure, you fell asleep right then and there, Michael. Sure you did.

Here's one I bet alot of us heard and probably forgot about. Next:

    "Operator, give me Central Central

Help me try to get my baby on the line

    Information, hear me calling, calling

Find that number, give it to me one more time"

It's okay, Michael. You're still invited.

  6. Where to start? Mostly starts with a stereo.

Where it ends? Usually never.... especially if you've gone so far as to worry about 6ms time-delays, etc. If you are into that kind of detail, you are into research labs. The research will never end. I suggest to find a way to do that on somebody else's nickel. [:D]

  7. Not that this is you, but doesn't this sound familiar?

Like Klipsch... $1500 spent to get Klipsch.

Something better for $1500. Sold my Klipsch for $800, and with another $700, got my new stuff.

Sure liked Klipsch. Selling my old stuff for $800, and with another $700, will get some Klipsch again...

Let's see.... For the $1500 Klipsch, we've spent $2900. At least 'til the next improvement. [;)]

We should call this group "the ever-tweakers."

  8. What is it with women and candles?

    Allow me...

Candlelight is the softest, warmest, most flattering light in the world. Makes women feel pretty, thus, increasing self-confidence... To your benefit, we become happier, more giving, less nagging. The light is also serene, peaceful, "home-y." Comforting.

Best to let us have our candles. I recommend the kind in glass jars to avoid spillage.

    Amy,

I'll have a case of candles in hand the next time we meet!

    Craig

    Craig....... What a ham! [:)]

  9. Not to be an ahole, but what national ROCK band did lacucaracha? Please humor me...I was up all night with visions of hariry legs and cockaroaches

    Michael

Michael's upset! He stayed up all night listening to his entire Santana collection - all for naught. [:(]

Really, though, he's right. Let's stay w/national Classic Rock artists. Also, anyone feel free to enforce the 10 min. post rule. I've seen alot more answers/bail-outs lately.

EDIT: BTW, Michael, were the hairy legs ON the cockaroaches? I hope so. [;)]
